Viewing consumption and range parameter information of aircraft model

Unified Glossary

Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page you to view the consumption and range parameters that have been attached to the selected aircraft model. Tell me more.

The “View Consumption & Range Parameters ” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Aircraft model #

The aircraft model selected in the main page for which you wish to view the consumption and range parameters.

Model Description

The textual description of the aircraft model.

The system displays the following details in the “Parameter Details” multiline:

Parameter

The parameter defined for the selected aircraft model.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the parameter.

Parameter Type

The type of the parameter, which can be either ”Consumption” or “Range”.

Life Parameter

The system displays “Yes” if the consumption parameter has been identified as the life parameter. A life parameter is the consumption parameter that indicates the life of the equipment.

Parameter Source

The source from which the parameter value is updated. The source can be one of the following:

  • Flight Log - indicates that the parameter value is updated from the flight log.

  • Manual - indicates that the parameter value is updated manually.

  • Calculated - indicates that the parameter value is updated based on the formula associated to the parameter. This formula will contain mathematical operations to be performed on other related parameters. When the participating parameters are updated, the formula based parameter is automatically updated.

Range: From

The minimum value of the range parameter.

Range:To

The maximum value of the range parameter.

Average Value

The average value of the consumption parameter.

Forecast Factor

The multiplication factor based on which the maintenance activity is forecasted.

Ultimate Life Value

The value identifying the life of the component, if the consumption parameter has been selected as a life parameter.

Formula #

The formula specified for the consumption parameter. The parameter value is updated based on this formula, if the “Parameter Source” is set as “Calculated”.

Formula Content

The contents of the formula.

Parameter Description

The description of the parameter.

Warranty Tracking

Iindicates, whether the warranty tracking for the parameter is “Applicable” or “Not Applicable”.

Parameter Update

Indicates, whether parameter updation is “Mandatory” or “Non-Mandatory” each time when the parameter is updated for the aircraft.

Update Mode

Indicates, the mode on which the parameter value has to be updated. The system displays either one of the following:

  • Delta – indicates that the new parameter value is added with the existing parameter value.

  • New – indicates that the parameter value is overwritten by the new parameter value.

Viewing consumption and range parameter information of aircraft model – An overview

View Aircraft Model - A summary of the activity

In this page the system displays the details of the consumption and range parameters identified for aircraft model.

For consumption parameters the system displays the parameter, its description, the unit of measurement, the type of parameter, the parameter source from which the parameter must be updated, the average value, the forecast factor, the formula-id and the formula content. If the consumption parameter has been defined as the life parameter, then the ultimate life of the component is also displayed.

For range parameters, the system displays the parameter, its description, the unit of measurement, parameter source from which the parameter is updated and the maximum and minimum values of the range.

You can also view whether warranty tracking is applicable for the parameter, the mode of parameter updation and whether the parameter updation is mandatory whenever the parameter value changes.
