Help on Maintenance Objects
This page allows you to retrieve the details of the maintenance objects such as aircraft models and parts that are already defined. You can carry out a search based on the maintenance object type, maintenance object number, component type, component type, customer part number and manufacturer name. The system displays the maintenance objects that match the filter criteria in the multiline. The system retrieves either the details of the aircraft models or the parts based on the “Maint. Object Type” selected.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Maintenance Object #” field in the main screen.
The “Help on Maintenance Objects” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a maintenance object. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Maint. Object Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the maintenance object. The system lists the following options:
The system sets this field to “Model” by default. |
Maintenance Object # |
The number identifying the maintenance object (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance objects with the number entered here. |
Description |
The textual description of the maintenance object (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance objects with the description specified here. |
Component Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the component. If the “Maint. Object Type” is set as “Part”, the system lists the options “APU”, “Landing Gear”, “Engine” and “Others”, and sets the field to “Others” by default. If the “Maint. Object Type” is set as “Model”, the system leaves this field blank. |
Customer Part # |
The number identifying the customer part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance objects associated to the customer part number specified here. |
Manufacturer Name |
The name of the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the manufacturer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the maintenance objects associated to the manufacturer name specified here. |
Click the “Search” button to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves only those records that are in “Active” status from the “Aircraft” business component.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Maint. Object Type |
The type of the maintenance object, which could be “Model” or “Part”. |
Maintenance Object # |
The number identifying the maintenance object. |
Description |
The description of the maintenance object. |
Customer Part # |
The number identifying the customer part. |
Manufacturer Name |
The name of the manufacturer. |
Component Type |
The type of the component. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the aircraft model or part number.
Click the “OK” button.
