Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

In this page, you can retrieve the details of components. You can carry out a search based on the aircraft registration number, level code, position code, reference document type, reference document number, number and description of the part, NHA part # and serial number, component number, manufacturer serial number of the component, part classification, ATA number, planning base or customer number. The system retrieves the details of the component, such as the component number, part and serial number of the component, its description, manufacturer serial number and part classification. Also the system displays the aircraft to which the component ifs fitted, the level code, position where the component is fitted, ATA, zone and position formula associated to the position code, organization unit and its description are displayed.

In the same page, you can also retrieve the components that are issued against a Reference Document, if the reference document and the reference doc type are specified as filter criteria. If you provide the aircraft registration number, level code, position code, reference doc type and the reference document as the search criteria, the system retrieves all the components suitable for the level code and position code combination.

This page can be used for the following purposes:

a) To retrieve the components attached to the aircraft or component.

b) To retrieve all the components and know whether the component is attached to NHA or aircraft.

c) To retrieve the issued components against the reference document.

d) To retrieve the issued component against the reference document after matching with the alternate parts or interchangeability parts of the level code’s position part number.

The “Help on Components” page appears.

Component #

Enter the position (Alphanumeric, 25) in the first input box and the level number (Alphanumeric, 150) in the position to which the component is fitted in the second input box. You can enter these numbers in full or specify it partially using “*” character. The system lists all the components fitted in level and position similar to the values entered here.

Ref Doc Type/Ref. Doc #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the reference document. The system lists the options “Aircraft Maintenance Execution”, “Hangar Work Order” and “Component Work Order”.

By default, the system displays

  • “Aircraft Maintenance Execution”, if this page is invoked from “Flight Log” business component.

  • “Hangar Work Order”, if this page is invoked from “Hangar Work Order” or “Hangar Work Reporting” business component.

  • “Component Work Order”, if this page is invoked from “Component Work Order” or “Component Work Reporting” business component.

All those components associated with the type of reference document that you select here are retrieved and displayed in the multiline.

Specify the number identifying the reference document (Alphanumeric, 40) in the input box available next. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using “*” character. The system lists details of the component related to the reference document entered here.

ATA #

The ATA number for which the component details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the components belonging to the ATA chapter number entered here.

NHA Part #/NHA Serial #

The number identifying the parent part, which is otherwise, called the 'Next Higher Assembly' (Alphanumeric, 40) in the first input box. The serial number of the NHA part (Alphanumeric, 40) in the second input box. You can enter these numbers in full or specify them partially using “*” character. If you specify the serial # as well, the system lists all components whose parent part and serial numbers are similar to the values entered here.

EIPN / Serial #

The end item part number and serial number of the component for which you want to find the entire assembly of components. Enter the part # (Alphanumeric, 40) of the higher most assembly in the configuration of the component in the first input box. The system retrieves all components in the configuration of components whose end item part # is the same as that you specify here. If you specify the serial number (Alphanumeric, 40) for the end item part # in the second input box as well, the system lists all the child components of those components that have the same serial and end item part numbers.

You can enter these numbers in full or specify them partially using “*” character. If you specify the serial # as well, the system lists all components in the entire assembly of components whose end item part and serial numbers are similar to the values entered here.
