Help on component family
This page allows you to retrieve the details of the component family that are already defined. You can carry out the search using the component family number, part classification, ATA chapter or organizational unit description. Details such as component family number, description, ATA chapter associated to the component family and part classification are displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Component Family #” field in the main screen.
The “Help on Component” page appears
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a component. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Component Family |
The component family number for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 15). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all component family whose numbers are similar to the value entered here. |
Part Classification |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the classification of the part, which could be one of the following: “Rotable”, “Repairable”, “Controllable”. Leave this field blank to retrieve the details of the component family irrespective of this field. The system sets the field to “Rotable” by default. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter number to which the component family associated. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component family associated to the ATA chapter. |
Org. Unit Name |
Use the drop-down list box to select the description of the organizational unit in which the component to be retrieved, belongs. Leave this field blank to retrieve the details of the component family irrespective of this field. The system displays the organizational unit to which you have logged into by default. |
Click the “Search” button to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Component Family |
The number identifying the component family. |
Component Family Description |
The description of the component family. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter number associated with the component family. |
Part Classification |
The classification of the part, which could be one of the following: “Rotables”, “Repairable”, “Controllable”. |
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the component family.
Click the “OK” button.
