You can modify the details of the selected parameters in this page. Details such as parameter description, unit of measurement, type and formula ID can be modified. The system updates the details of the parameters and sets the “Last Modified Date” to the server date.
Select the “Edit Parameter” link in the “Select Parameter” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked parameter number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Parameter” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Parameter Details” group box:
Parameter |
The selected parameter number for which the details are to be modified. |
Enter the following:
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the parameter, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Parameter Description |
The textual description of the parameter (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Parameter Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the parameter, which could be “Technical”, “Attribute”, “Range”, “Consumption”. |
Unit Of Measurement |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the unit of measurement for the parameter. The system displays the list of UOM defined in the “Create UOM” activity of “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component. When the parameter type is “Range” or “Consumption” the data entry in this field is mandatory. |
Note: You can modify the unit of measurement and parameter type only when the parameter is not associated to any aircraft, part or component. And if the parameter type is changed from “Attribute” to any other parameter type the system deletes the attribute parameter values associated with the parameter.
Formula # |
An identifier for the formula to be associated with the parameter. The formula must have already been defined in the “Formula Builder” business component. Enter this field only when the parameter type is “Consumption”. (Alphanumeric, 20). |

The system displays the following field in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user who created the parameter. |
Created Date |
The date on which the parameter was created. |

The name of the user who modified the parameter. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the parameter was last modified. |
Click the “Edit Parameter” pushbutton to edit the details of the parameter.
If the status of the parameter has been changed to “Active” to “Inactive” the system does not display the parameter details in the “Create Formula” activity of “Formula Builder” business component.
If the status of the parameter has been changed to “Inactive” to “Active” the system adds the parameter in the “Create Formula” activity of “Formula Builder” business component.

Parameters can be classified as technical, attribute, range and consumption. You can modify the “UOM” and “Parameter Type” only when the parameter is not associated to aircraft, part or component.
Use the “Parameter Type” drop-down list box to modify the parameter type.
Modify the status of the parameter
You can modify the status of the parameter, which could be “Active” or “inactive”.
Set the “Status” field to “Active” if you wish to refer the parameter in other activities.
Set the “Status” field to “Inactive” if you do not wish to refer this parameter in other activities.
The system deletes the parameter from the parameter list displayed in the “Create Formula” activity of “Formula Builder” business component.
