This page allows you to freeze and unfreeze aircraft records. Tell me more

The “Update Status & Condition for Aircraft Records” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft with registration numbers similar to the number entered here.

Alternately, you can also enter Nose # in the field. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character, similar to A/C Reg #.

The smart search retrieves aircraft with Reg. # / Nose # similar to that you have entered in the field

Manufacturer #

The number identifying the manufacturer of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the manufacturer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all manufacturer numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft belonging to the model specified here.

Configuration Class

Use the drop-down list box to specify the configuration class to which the aircraft belongs. The system lists all the active configuration classes that are defined for the aircraft in the “Configuration” business component. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the aircraft irrespective of the configuration class. The system leaves this field blank by default.

The system retrieves only those aircraft records that are in “Active” status.

Note: The system will not retrieve aircraft that are in “Phased-Out” condition.

The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Record List” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft.

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model.

Manufacturer #

The number identifying the manufacturer of the aircraft.

Record Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the record status of the aircraft. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system leaves this field blank by default.

Aircraft Condition

Use the drop-down list box to specify the condition of the aircraft. The system lists the following options:

  • Operational – Select this option, to indicate that the aircraft is in working condition.

  • Under Maintenance – Select this option, to indicate that the aircraft is under maintenance.

  • Phased Out – Select this option, to indicate that the aircraft cannot be used for operation. You can select this option only when the “Record Status” of the aircraft is “Inactive”.

The system leaves this field blank by default.

Aircraft Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the aircraft. The system displays all the quick codes that are of type “Aircraft Status”, as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system leaves this field blank by default.

AOG?

Use the drop-down list box to specify the grounding status of the aircraft. The system lists the following options:

  • AOG – Select this option, if the aircraft is grounded for maintenance activity.

  • No – Select this option, if the aircraft is not grounded.

The system leaves this field blank by default.

From Date

The date on which the aircraft record is updated (Date Format). Mandatory. The date entered here must not be later than the current system date.

Note: Ensure that the date entered is not earlier than the “Condition From Date”, “AOG From Date” and “Status From Date” specified in the “Create Aircraft Record” page.

From Time

The time at which the aircraft record is updated (Time Format). Mandatory.

Reason

The reason for freezing or updating the aircraft record (Alphanumeric, 2000). Mandatory.

Ref. Doc #

The reference document based on which the aircraft record is updated (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Approved By

The name of the login user who updated the aircraft record (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the employee code entered here is defined in the “Employee Information” business component.

Comments

Any other remarks pertaining to the freezing or updating of the aircraft record (Alphanumeric, 2000).

Note: Ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline.

Note: The system automatically moves the frozen records from the “Aircraft Record List” multiline to the “Unfreeze Records” multiline, on clicking the “Freeze Records” pushbutton.

Aircraft Reg #

The number identifying the aircraft for which the records are frozen.

Frozen Date

The date on which the aircraft records are frozen.

Frozen Time

The time at which the aircraft records are frozen.

From Date

The date on which the aircraft record is unfrozen (Date Format). Mandatory. The date entered here must not be later than the current system date and should be later than the “Frozen Date”.

From Time

The time at which the aircraft record is unfrozen (Time Format). Mandatory.

Reason

The reason for which the aircraft record is frozen.

Approved By

The name of the login user who unfroze the aircraft record (Alphanumeric, 30). The name Ensure that the employee code entered here is defined in the “Employee Information” business component.

The reference document based on which the aircraft record is unfrozen (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Note: Schedules are considered only for those tasks whose ‘Program Item Type’ is “Block”, “Base” or “Non-Block” and for which ‘Initiated / Reset by’ is set as “Self-Compliance”. Update Status and Condition for Aircraft Records - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to freeze and unfreeze aircraft records. You can also update the attributes such as aircraft status, AOG status and aircraft condition for the aircraft record. You can search for an aircraft by providing filter criteria such as aircraft registration number, manufacturer number, aircraft model number and configuration class. Based on the search criteria, you can retrieve the aircraft records that are in “Active” status in the “Aircraft Record List” multiline for freezing and/or updating attributes. You can also retrieve the aircraft records that are in “Frozen” status and unfreeze them.
