Select the “Create Aircraft Group” link under the “Aircraft” business component.
The “Create Aircraft Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Aircraft Group # |
A unique identifier for the aircraft group (Alphanumeric, 20) Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and digits and cannot be left blank. Ensure that the number is unique for the organizational unit. |

Aircraft Group Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the quick code to which the aircraft group is to be associated. The system lists all the quick codes of type "Aircraft Group Category” and of status “Active”. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to associate the aircraft group to any quick code. |

Group Description |
The textual description of the aircraft group (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Enter the following details in the “Aircraft Group List” multiline to associate aircraft to the aircraft group:

Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft to be associated to the aircraft group (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. This number must have already been defined in the “Create Aircraft Record” activity. Ensure that the record status of the aircraft is not “Frozen”. |

The system fills in the following fields using the details specified for the aircraft in the “Create Aircraft Record” activity. If you have entered the aircraft registration number directly, these fields are filled in only on clicking the “Create Aircraft Group” pushbutton:

Manufacturer Serial # |
The MSN or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the aircraft by the manufacturer at the time of production. |

Variable Tab # |
The tab number of the aircraft. |
|
Nose # |
The nose number of the aircraft is an aircraft identifier, which is primarily used by the marketing department of an airline. |

Aircraft Model # |
The model number of the aircraft. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the aircraft registration number for deletion.
Click Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected aircraft.
Click the “Create Aircraft Group” pushbutton to create the aircraft group.
Note: The aircraft group is created and the status of the aircraft group is set to “Active”. The system sets the “Created Date” field to the current server date and the “Created By” field to the current user.
