Deleting part account definition
This page allows you to delete the part account definition. You can search for the part account based on the part account group, account type, part code, finance book and the part account. The system retrieves the accounting information like the account type, the account code and the effective from date. You can provide the date till which the account definition is valid and delete them. The system also displays the accounting details like the event, the account description and its respective identifier.
Select the “Delete Part Account Definition” link under the “Account Rule Definition” business component.
The “Delete Part Account Definition” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Part Account Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the part account group. All the inventory account groups defined in the “Part Administration” business component, for which part account has already been defined, will be available for selection. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page. |
Note: Part Account Group is a logical group of part codes determined based on the level at which account codes are to be kept.

The description pertaining to the part account group. |
Enter the following fields:
Account Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the account type. All the account types, for which part account has already been defined, will be available for selection, which could be “Stock”, “WIP”, “Stock with Repair Agency”, “Purchase Price Variance”, “Stock Adjustment” or “Material Lost In Transit”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Part # |
The code identifying the part (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. The value entered here must have been defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |

Note: Part code should not have been mapped to the part account group earlier.
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book to which the financial entries are posted. All the postings finance books that has been defined for the company, to which the login organization unit belongs, for which part account has already been defined, will be available for selection. The system displays the first finance book in the list by default on launch of the page. |
Account # |
The code identifying the account defined as a part account (Alphanumeric, 32). The account code must have been defined in the “Create Part Account Definition” activity of this business component. |

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the accounting information:

Note: The system retrieves the account details mapped for the combination of the finance book and the part account group.
The system also retrieves the events and Dr / Cr details for the account type and account code.

The date from which the part account definition is valid. |
Enter the following field:
Valid Upto Date |
The date till which the part account definitions are valid (Date Format). Mandatory. The date entered here must be greater than the effective from date and less than or equal to the account code end date and must also be greater than or equal to the system date. The valid upto date must be the financial year or the financial period end date. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the accounting information for deletion.
The system displays the following in the “Accounting Details” multiline:

The transaction, which triggers accounting entry. |
Account Description |
The description pertaining to the account code. |
Dr / Cr |
Indicates whether the account is a debit or a credit account. |
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the part account definition.
Note: Atleast one row must be marked for deletion.
The system deletes the account codes defined for the finance book and the part account group.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Delete TCD Account Definition” link at the bottom of the page to delete the TCD account definition.
