Setting function defaults
This activity allows you to define the function defaults for the “Asset Migration” business component. Function defaults are set for the system to follow while migrating from a legacy system or manual records to the “Fixed Assets” BPC of the Ramco Enterprise Series. The data pertaining to a specified period prior to the installation date is migrated from the legacy system to this new application. By default the system sets its own values. These functional defaults can be modified as per your requirements.
This page allows you to set the functional defaults the first time you install this business component. You can enter the number of years of asset history you want to maintain in the system and the size of the batch that you want to upload at a time. The system stores the modified details along with the login ID of the user and the server date.
Select the “Set Function Defaults” link under the “Asset Migration” business component.
The “Set Function Defaults” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
Batch Size |
The size of the batch of details you want to upload into Ramco Enterprise Series at a time (Integer). |
Click the “Set Function Defaults” pushbutton to set the function defaults.
The login ID of the user and the server date is updated in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

The login ID of the user who last modified the functional defaults. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the functional defaults were modified last. |
