Basics of using Ramco Enterprise Series web page

Using online help

This page allows you to search and select a claim for viewing its details. If you know the number identifying the claim for which you want to view the details, enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the code identifying the policy and the renewal details, the code identifying the finance book in which the policy details have been posted and the login ID of the user who has raised the claim. You can also search by specifying the code identifying the asset and the tag for which the claim has been raised. The system retrieves the claims based on the search criteria entered. Help facility is available for retrieving the policy, renewal details, the asset and the asset tag.

The “Select Insurance Claim” page appears.

Claim No

The number identifying the claim for which you want to view (Alphanumeric, 18).

Policy No

The code identifying the policy against which the claim was raised (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the claims that have been raised for policy numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Renewal No

The code identifying the renewal details of the policy (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the claims that have renewal numbers similar to the value entered here.

Finance Book

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book in which the asset details have been posted. All the finance books that have been mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection in the ascending order. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Asset No

The code identifying the asset that you want to retrieve for which a claim has been raised (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the insurance policies that have been raised for assets similar to the value entered here.

Tag No

The code identifying the asset tag that you want to retrieve for which a claim has been raised (Integer). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the insurance policies that have been raised for asset tags similar to the value entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the claim from “Active”, “Reversed” or “In Progress”. The system displays “Active” by default.

Claim Date From

The starting date in the date range during which the claim was raised (Date Format). The system retrieves all the claims that have dates after or the same as the date entered here.

Note: If this field is left blank and the “To” date is entered the system retrieves all the claims that have dates from the beginning of the century till the date entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending date in the date range during which the claim was raised (Date Format). The system retrieves all the claims that have dates before or the same as the date entered here.

Note: If this field is left blank and the “Claim Date From” date is entered the system retrieves all the claims that have dates starting from the date entered in the “From” field till the system date.

User ID

The login ID of the user who has raised the claim (Alphanumeric, 15).

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Claim No

The number identifying the claim.

Claim Date

The date on which the claim was raised.

Policy No

The code identifying the policy.

Renewal No

The number identifying the renewal details of the policy.

Total Claim Amount

The claim amount for the policy.

Unsettled Amount

The claim amount that is yet to be settled.

Status

The status of the claim. It must be “Active”, “In Progress” or “Reversed”.

 
  • Active – indicates a newly created claim

 
  • In progress – indicates that the claim has been partially settled and is pending for further settlement.

 
  • Reversed – indicates that the claim has been reversed.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the asset details are posted.
