Basics of using a Ramco Enterprise Series web page

Using online help

This page allows you to view the details of the selected asset group. You can carry out a search using the code identifying the asset group, the description of the asset group and its status. You can also retrieve details of the child asset groups based on the search criteria entered. You can view details like the code identifying the asset group, the description of the asset group, the code identifying the parent group if the asset group has been mapped to one and the status of the group.

The “View Asset Group” page appears.

Asset Group Code

The code identifying the asset group that you want to view (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here.

Group Description

A textual description of the asset group (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the asset codes that have descriptions similar to the value entered here.

Child Group

Check the box to retrieve the corresponding child group details.

Group Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the asset group from “Active”, “Inactive” or “All”. The system displays “All” by default.

Note: If “All” is selected the system retrieves the asset groups irrespective of the status.

The system displays the following in the “Asset Group Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Asset Group Code

The code identifying the asset group.

Asset Group Description

A textual description of the asset group.

Parent Group

The code identifying the parent asset group.

Asset Group Status

The status of the asset group. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

 
  • Active – indicates that the asset group is in use.

 
  • Inactive – indicates that the asset group is no longer in use.
