This Help page allows you to search and select an asset group and transfer the details to the field where it is required.
You can carry out a search using the code identifying the asset group, the description of the asset group and its status. You can also retrieve details of the child asset groups based on the search criteria entered. The selected asset group code is transferred to the required page, when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Asset Group Code” field.
The “Help on Asset Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an asset group code:
Asset Group Code |
The code identifying the asset group that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
Group Description |
A textual description of the asset group (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the asset codes that have descriptions similar to the value entered here. |
Child Group |
Check the box to retrieve the corresponding child group details. |
Group Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the asset group from “Active”, “Inactive” or “All”. The system displays “All” by default at the launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:
Asset Group Code |
The code identifying the asset group. |
Asset Group Description |
A textual description of the asset group. |
Parent Group |
The code identifying the parent asset group. |
Asset Group Status |
The status of the asset group. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select an asset group.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
