Recording or viewing asset flying hours

This page allows you to view the details of the asset flying hours, for a specified period. Tell me more.

Select the “Save/View Fly Hours” link at the bottom of the “Process Depreciation” page.

The “Save/View Fly Hours” page appears.

Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Financial Year	Use the drop-down list box to select the financial year for which you wish to view the details. The system lists all the open financial years mapped to the login organization unit. The system displays the current financial year by default.
Financial Period	Use the drop-down list box to select the financial period for which you wish to view the details. The system lists all the financial periods corresponding to the financial year. Ensure that the financial period entered here is not later that the current financial period. The system leaves the field blank by default. Do not leave this field blank.
Asset Class From	The asset class code, starting from which you wish to view the details. Ensure that the code entered here is a valid asset class, as defined in the “Create Asset Class” activity of the “Asset Type Definition” business component. Help facility available.
Asset Class To	The asset class code, until which you wish to view the details. Ensure that the code entered here is a valid asset class, as defined in the “Create Asset Class” activity of the “Asset Type Definition” business component. Help facility available.
Asset No.	The number identifying the asset (Alphanumeric, 18). Ensure that the number entered here is a valid asset as defined in the “Asset Capitalization” business component. Help facility available.

Click the “Search” pushbutton provided at the bottom of the group box, to retrieve the flying details in the multiline.

Note: The system displays the details corresponding to the current server date in the multiline, If the end date of the “Financial Period” falls beyond the current server date.

Asset Class Code	The code identifying the asset class.
Asset #	The number identifying the asset.
Tag No.	The number identifying the asset tag.
Financial Period	The financial period for which the depreciation is processed.
Maintenance Interval	The interval for which the asset maintenance has to be done.
Time Since Overhaul	The cumulative flying hours of the asset since its last overhaul.
Depreciated Cumulative Hours	The cumulative flying hours for which the depreciation is processed. The system displays the cumulative hours for the period prior to the selected financial period.
Modify the following:
Actual Fly Hours	The actual flying hours of the asset (Decimal). Mandatory. The system calculates the actual flying hours using the formula: Actual Flying Hours = (Time Since Overhaul – Depreciated Cumulative Hours). Ensure that the sum of the “Actual Flying Hours” and the “Depreciated Cumulative Hours” is not greater than the “Time Since Overhaul”.

Click the “Save” pushbutton provided at the bottom of the multiline, to save the recorded details.

Note: You cannot save the modified details for an asset class and asset number combination, if the depreciation has already been processed for the specified financial period.

Recording or viewing asset flying hours – An overview

This page allows you to view the details of the asset flying hours, for a specified period. You can specify the search criteria such as financial year, financial period and the asset class for which you wish to view the details. You can also specify the asset number in the search criteria.

This page also facilitates you to modify the "Actual Flying Hours" in the multiline, and save the modified details.
