This page allows you to activate or inactivate the depreciation rate. On inactivating the depreciation rate Id, all the rates defined under it is also inactivated. For the asset class code, you can enter the code identifying the depreciation rate and the textual description pertaining to the depreciation rate and retrieve the rates defined for it.

On activating the system updates the status of the depreciation rate to “Active” and the system updates the status to “Inactivate” on inactivating. The system updates the login ID of the user to the last modified by and the system date to the last modified date.

The “Activate / Inactivate Depreciation Rate” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Status

The status of the depreciation rate. The various statuses of the depreciation rate are

 
  •  Active – Indicates that the depreciation ID is just been created.

 
  • Inactive – When the depreciation ID is inactivated, the system updates the status of the depreciation ID to “Inactive”.

Asset Class Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the asset class.  The system loads all the asset class defined in the “Create Asset Class” activity of the “Asset Type Definition” business component, for selection. The system displays the first asset class by default on launch of the page.

Depreciation Rate Id

The code identifying the depreciation rate (Alphanumeric, 20).

Rate Id Description

The textual description pertaining to the depreciation rate ID (Alphanumeric, 100).

The system displays the following fields in the “Depreciation Rate Details” multiline:

Depreciation Rate

The code identifying the depreciation rate.

Effective From Date

The date from which the depreciation rate is effective.

Expiration Date

The date till which the depreciation rate is effective.

Note: The depreciation rate must be in “Inactive” status.

The system updates the status of the depreciation rate to “Active”.

The system updates the login ID of the user to the last modified by and the system date to the last modified date.

The system also displays the creation history of the depreciation rate.

Note: The depreciation rate must be in “Active” status.

If the depreciation rate ID has been assigned to any depreciation rule that is in “Active” status, then the depreciation rate cannot be inactivated.

 The system updates the status of the depreciation rate to “Inactive”.

The system updates the login ID of the user to the last modified by and the system date to the last modified date.

The system also displays the creation history of the depreciation rate.

The system displays the following fields:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the depreciation rate.

Created Date

The date on which the depreciation rate was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the depreciation rate.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the depreciation rate was modified last.
