Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This page allows you to view the voucher information like the number identifying the voucher, the date on which the voucher is raised, the code identifying the finance book in which the posting are made. You can also view the accounting information pertaining to the capital journal voucher.

The “View Capital Journal” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Voucher Information” group box:

Voucher No.

The number identifying the voucher.

Voucher Type

The voucher type, which could be “Normal” or “Reversal”.

Status

The status of the voucher which could be “Fresh” or “Active” status.

Transaction Date

The date on which the capital journal was raised.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the accounting entries are posted.

The system displays the following in the “Accounting Information” multiline:

Asset No.

The number identifying the asset to which the voucher has been raised.

Tag No.

The number identifying the asset tag.

Account Code

The code identifying the asset associated to the asset.

Debit/Credit

Indicates whether the account code is debited or credited.

Transaction Amount

The transaction amount of the voucher.

In-service Date

The date of the asset - tag when the incremental cost is incurred.

Proposal No.

The number identifying the asset proposal.

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to the capital journal.

Cost Center

The code identifying the cost center in which the voucher has been raised.

Analysis Code

The analysis code to which the selected account is mapped in the "Assign Analysis Code" activity of the "Account Based Budgeting" business component.

Sub Analysis Code

The sub-analysis code, which is mapped to the analysis code in the "Assign Sub Analysis Code" activity of the "Account Based Budgeting" business component.

The system displays the following in the group box:

Debit Total

The sum of the transaction amounts of all the debit accounts if the transaction currency of all the accounts is the same.

Credit Total

The sum of the transaction amount of all the credit accounts if the transaction currency of all the accounts is the same. The credit total must be equal to the debit total.

Remarks

Any comments regarding the capital journal (Alphanumeric, 255).

Created By

The login ID of the user who raised the capital journal voucher.

Created Date

The date on which the capital journal was raised.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the capital journal voucher.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the capital journal was last modified.
