Using online help

This page enables you to create benefit plans for predefined plan categories - Health, Insurance, Flexible Spending, Savings and Health Savings.

To add new plan

Benefits Definition Unit

The login organization unit is displayed.

Plan Code

Unique plan code to be given by user. Mandatory

Plan Name

Plan name, example – Delta Dental. Mandatory

Policy

Policy code. Mandatory

Provider

Select the provider or carrier from dropdown. Mandatory

Plan Category

Select the plan category from the dropdown. Mandatory

Plan Type

Select the plan type from dropdown. This is optional.

Original Plan Date

The original plan date in the system.

Plan From – To

The start and end date of the plan. These dates change as per the versions created. Example – Original plan date can be 01/01/2013, Plan from and To date for one version can be 01/01/2014 – 12/31/2014, another version from 01/01/2015 – 12/31/2015

HIPAA Type

Select the type of HIPAA type from dropdown.

Qualify for COBRA

From the dropdown, select “Yes” to indicate the plan qualifies for COBRA, else select “No”.

Broker

Select the broker from dropdown.

ERISA ID

Enter the ERISA code if any

Billing Cutoff

Billing cutoff is prepopulated as monthly.

Contact Person

Enter the name of the contact person.

Phone

Enter the phone number of the contact person.

Mobile

Enter the mobile number of the contact person.

Email ID

Enter or key in the email id of the contact person.

Plan Url

Enter or key in the URL of plan details if any.

Is this a high deductible plan and allow employee to enroll into HSA?

Indicates whether the plan is high deductible plan and allow employee to enroll into HSA or not.

Plan Brochure

  • Click icon to attach the plan brochure which you want to attach.

The Upload File pop-up appears.

  • Enter the File ID.

  • Click Browse to search and attach the document.

  • Click Upload to attach the document.

  • Click Cancel.

Plan Conditions

  • Select the checkbox against the following plan conditions:

  • Enable ESS – if you want the plan to be available on employee self service

  • Life Event Driven – Example – Health, Flexible Spending are life event driven

  • Pre Tax

  • GrandFathered Plan

  • Auto Enroll – this option can be checked for auto enroll plans like company life insurance for employee where employee need not elect manually.

  • Contingency Allocation Applicable – this option can be chosen for child or spouse insurance plans, AD & D plans where dependent allocation is required.

Waiting Period

Enter the waiting period in days.

Reference Period

Reference period is the condition based on which the waiting period is considered. It can be a specific date or employee joining date. Choose the value from dropdown or enter the date. It should not be both.

Employee Contribution

Select the pay element of the employee contribution from dropdown.

Employer Contribution

Select the pay element of the employer contribution from dropdown.

To edit an existing plan

Plan Name / Code

The plan name is preloaded. You could also choose a different plan from the dropdown.

Version

Select the required plan version which you want to edit. System defaults the latest version available.

The following details can be modified – Plan From – To, HIPAA Type, Qualify for COBRA, Broker, ERISA ID, Billing Cutoff, Contact Person name, phone, mobile, email ID, Plan URL, Plan brochure, Waiting period, pay element mapping for employee or employer contribution or both.

To view an existing plan

Plan Name / Code

Select the plan name from dropdown.

Version

Select the required version.
