Selecting work group for viewing
this page, you can select the work group for viewing its details. If you know the work group number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can search for a work group by specifying the search criteria such as number, name, work center, status, group category, lead skill, employee number and employee name. Details such as work group number, name, work center number, status, lead skill, group category and employee count are displayed.
Select the “View Work Group” link under the “Hangar Work Order” business component.
The “Select Work Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Direct Entry” group box:
Work Group # |
The identifier for the work group for which you need to view the details (Alphanumeric, 20). |
Click the “View Work Group” link provided alongside, to view the work group details.
To search for a work group
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a work group:
Work Group # |
The identifier for the work group for which you need to view the details (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the work group number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups numbers that are similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the work group number. |
Name |
The name of the work group for which you need to view the details (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the work group name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups name that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the work group name. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center to which the work group is attached. The system lists all the “active” work centers defined for the login user in the “Set Work Center – Access Privileges” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The system retrieves all the work groups associated to the work center specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the work center. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the work group. The system lists “Active” and “Inactive” as options. The system retrieves all the work groups of the status specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the status. |
Group Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the work group. The system lists all the “active” quick codes of type “Work Group Category” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The system retrieves all the work groups of the category specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the category. |
Lead Skill # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the lead skill of the work group. The system lists all the “active” skill codes as defined in the “HR Setup” business component. The system retrieves all the work groups for the skill code specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the lead skill code. |
Employee # |
The code that identifies the employee who is part of the work group (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the employee name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employee names that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the employee name. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 77). You can enter the employee name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups, which contains the employee names that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work groups irrespective of the employee name. |
Note: Leave all the fields blank, to retrieve all the work groups defined in the system.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

The name of the work group. |
Work Center # |
The work center to which the work group is attached. |
Status |
The status of the work group, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Lead Skill # |
The code that identifies the lead skill of the work group |
Group Category |
The quick code category to which the work group belongs. |
Employee Count |
The number of employees in the work group. |
