Using Online Help

Alternate part numbers are defined to reduce the maintenance related grounding time of an aircraft. Alternate part numbers are valid parts existing in the inventory. In case a part number required is not available at the site of maintenance, an equivalent part can be substituted to complete the maintenance activity. A part can be substituted with another part subject to interchangeability rules.

This Help page allows you to search and select a substitute part and transfer the same to the field in which it is required.

You can carry out the search using the substitute type, order of preference, substitute part number, substitute part description, alternate part type and the position code of the part. The system retrieves all the parts based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected part is transferred to the required page.
