Entering the reference information for a work order
This page allows you to modify the reference information of a work order. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit References” link at the bottom of the “Create Work Order” or “Edit Work Order” page.
The “Edit References Information” page appears.
The system displays the following details in the “Work Order Details” group box:
Work Order # |
The work order for which you wish to modify the reference information. |
Work Order Description |
The textual description of the work order. Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following fields in the “Reference Document Details” group box:
Reference Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type for the reference document. The system displays all the reference document types defined in the “Create Reference Document Type” activity of the “Common Master” business component. |
Note: You must select a reference document type.
Document ID |
The number that identifies the document referred for the maintenance procedures of the work order (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory. |
File Name |
The name of the file that contains the reference information (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Help facility available. |
Note: Ensure that the document type and document ID combination is unique in the multiline.
Click the “Edit References” pushbutton, to update the details.
The system updates the reference information and stores the name of the login user and the current server date as the last modified date.

Select the "View File" link at the bottom of the page to view the file containing the reference document information.
Entering the reference information for a work order – An overview
This page allows you to modify the reference information of a work order. Reference information includes a list of documents or manuals. Reference documents, such as AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual) and CMM (Component Maintenance Manual), are basically manuals provided by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). These manuals or documents are referred for maintenance procedures.
You can enter the document, which is used as reference, for the execution of the work order and the path in which it is available.

You can specify the reference information for the work order. Reference information includes a list of documents or manuals, which are referred for the maintenance activities.
Enter the reference document details in the “Reference Document Details” multiline.
Click the “Edit References” pushbutton, to update to details.
