Authorize Material Request – A summary of the activity

The material requests that are already defined in the “Create Maintenance Material Request” activity must be approved. The materials are issued, only after the authorization of the material request. The stores supervisor or the maintenance controller can authorize the material request. Only material requests that are in the “Fresh” status can be authorized. The plan demand will get converted to a firm demand on authorization of MR. If the “Hard Allocation Required” option is enabled for the MR in the “Create Maintenance Material Request” activity, the requested part will also be reserved.

The “Authorize Maintenance Material Request” page allows you to search and select the maintenance material requests, which are in “Fresh” status. You can search based on the number, status, visit package, user status, work order, work center, warehouse and category of the material request.
