Part #

The code identifying the part to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40).

Part #

The code identifying the part to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Manufacturer Part #

The code identifying the manufacturer part number (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the parts that have manufacturer part numbers similar to the value entered here.

Mfr. #

The code identifying the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the parts that have manufacturers similar to the value entered here.

Part Description

The description of the part to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the parts that have part description similar to the value entered here.

Key Word

The key word of the part to be modified (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the parts that have key words similar to the value entered here.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part to be modified. The system provides the options “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool", “Consumable”, “Kit” and "Miscellaneous"..

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the part to be modified. The system lists the part categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity that are in the “Active” status.

Reference Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the reference status of the part to be modified. The system provides the options “Under Creation” and “Active”. The system displays “Active” by default.

Part Group

Use the drop-down list box to select the part group to which the part belongs. The system lists all the "Active" part groups defined in the "Create Part Groups" activity

Display Options

Use the drop-down list box to select the display option for retrieving the parts in the multiline. The system provides the following options:

  • Prime Parts Only – Select this option to display only the prime parts relating to the part number to be modified, in the multiline.

  • Non-Prime Parts Only – Select this option to display only non-prime parts relating to the part number to be modified, in the multiline.  

NSN

The National Stock Number of the part. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Strip Part #

The stripped number of the part without any special characters (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts having strip part number that is similar to the value entered here.

Note: Leave all the fields blank, if you want to retrieve all the part numbers.

The system retrieves the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.

Note: The system retrieves all parts that are in the "Active" or "Under Creation" status in the multiline.

Part #

The code identifying the part.

Mfr. Part #

The number identifying the part issued by the manufacturer.

Mfr. #

The number identifying the manufacturer.

Part Description

A textual description of the part.

Key Word

The key word used to easily identify the part.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Part Category

The category to which the part belongs.

Prime Part #

The prime part number for the part. The prime part is the highest prioritized interchangeable part for a part. If prime part is defined, then, the planning type of the prime part should be the same as the planning type defined for the part. The prime part number is identified as an attribute of the part number that enables to retrieve a set of alternate parts for a defined part number.

PMA

Stands for Part manufacturer approval. Indicates whether a part is PMA approved or not.

Activate Parts

Selecting part for modification – An overview

 If you know the part number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the part number, the part number issued by the manufacturer, the description of the part, the key word identifying the part, the type of the part, the category of the part, the reference and the planning status of the part. The system retrieves all the part numbers, which are in the “Under Creation”, or “Active” status, based on the search criteria entered.
