Defining standard distribution list
Using this tab you can create a standard distribution list. You can also modify the details and set the status of the list to “Active” or “Inactive”.
Select the “Std. Distribution List” tab, in the “Maintain Standard Distribution List” page.
The “Std. Distribution List” page appears.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Std. Distribution # |
A unique number identifying the standard distribution list (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Dist. Name |
The name of the standard distribution list (Alphanumeric, 40). Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is entered in the “Std. Distribution #” field. |
List Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the list status. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default. |
The system displays the following field.
Count |
The total number of members in the distribution list. |
Enter the following:
Remarks |
Any additional information pertaining to the distribution list (Alphanumeric 255). |
The system displays the following fields:
Created By |
The name of the login user who created the distribution list. |
Created Date |
The date on which the distribution list was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the login user who last modified the distribution list. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the distribution list was last modified. |
Note: Ensure that atleast one record is selected in the multiline.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete a selected record.
Note: You cannot delete an existing record. You can activate/inactivate an existing distribution list.
Click the “Maintain Distribution List” pushbutton, to create the distribution list.
Note: You cannot modify the Std. Distribuition # of an existing record.
Note: The system displays an error message, if a concurrent user modifies the details pertaining to the standard distribution list.
The system performs the following:
Updates the count of members from the “Member List” page.
Updates the “Created By” and “Last Modified By” fields with login user name, and the “Created Date” and “Last Modified Date” with the current server date.
