In this page, you can view the changes made to the component configuration and the different entities that are affected by the changes in the configuration. Tell me more

The “Compare Component Configuration Revisions” page appears.

The system displays the following details in the “Component Details” group box:

Component #

The component ID for which the configuration modification details are displayed.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs. Note

Mfr. Part #/Mfr. #

The manufacturer part # and the manufacturer # of the part to which the component belongs.  Note

Serial #

The serial number of the component.

New Revision #

The new revision number of the component configuration.

 

  •  Enter the following field:

Previous Revision #

Use the drop-down list box to select the revision number of the component configuration for which you wish to view the modification details. The system lists all the revision numbers including the baseline revision numbers. If the first configuration is a baseline version then the system includes “0” in the list. By default, the system sets this field to the revision number prior to the current revision number of the component configuration.

The system displays the following fields in the “Modification Details” multiline:

Entity Affected

The entity affected as a result of the changes made to the component configuration. The system displays one of the following:

 
  • Position Code - indicates that the position code status has been modified or a new position code has been added.

 
  • Part # - indicates that the part number has been changed.

Entity Value

The actual position code or the part number that has been affected due to the component configuration modification.

Action

The system displays “Modified” or “Added” to indicate whether the position code or the part number has been modified or added.

Change Information

Viewing component configuration modification details – An overview

View Component Configuration - A summary of the activity

In this page, you can view the changes made to the component configuration and the different entities that are affected by the changes in the configuration. You can view the details with respect to the different revision numbers of the component configuration. Details such as, the entities affected, the actual value of the affected entities, the action performed on the entity and the actual change that has taken place are displayed.
