Entering additional notes for component configuration

This page allows you to record any additional information or notes pertaining to the selected component configuration. The component ID, part number, serial number, revision number and the status of the component configuration are displayed by the system. You can enter any detail relevant for the component configuration.

Select the “Edit Notes” link at the bottom of the “Build Component Configuration” page.

The “Edit Notes” page appears.

The system displays the following in the "Component Details” group box:

Mfr. Part #/Mfr. #	The manufacturer part number and the manufacturer number of the component. Note
Component #	The component selected in the main page for you wish to enter the notes.
Part #	The part number to which the component belongs. Note
Serial #	The serial number of the component.
Revision #	The revision number of the component configuration.
Config. Status	The status of the component configuration.

Enter the following:

Notes

Any remarks or notes relevant to the component configuration (Alphanumeric, 2000).

Note: Clicking the icon launches the “View Notes” page.

Click the “Edit Notes” pushbutton to update the notes entered for the component configuration.
