Enabling Workflow Security
This page can be used to set security on or off and to configure security permissions at the configurator level.
Select the “Enable Workflow Security” link under the "Workflow Management" business component.
The “Enable Workflow Security” page appears.
Check the following field to indicate security permission:
Consider Security Permission |
Check this to indicate security is ON. If this is unchecked, it indicates that the security is OFF. |
Click the “Set” pushbutton to set the security permission.
Enter the following field:
User Name |
The name of the user for whom the permission is to be set (Alphanumeric, 30). Select the lens icon near the ‘User Name‘ to launch the ‘Help on User’ page. The user name can be selected from this page. |
Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the details of the particular user in the multiline.
The system displays the following information:
Enable Security Permission |
This check box gets checked or unchecked based on the previous setting for the user. |
The system displays the following information in the multiline:
Area Description |
The description of the workflow area to which the selected task is attached. |
Org. Unit Description |
The description of the organization unit for which this setup is defined. |
Enter the following field in the multiline:
Permit |
Use the drop-down list box to permit or restrict the user in the specified organization unit. The system lists “Yes” and “No” as options. Select “Yes” to grant access rights to the user else select “No”. |
Click the "Save" pushbutton to save the details.

You can set the enable workflow security checking as ON or OFF.
You can confine the user to certain tasks for configuration and user level security can be enabled or disabled.
