Position Control ID

The position control ID selected using the ”Select Position for Viewing” page. You can view attributes of the selected position control ID in this page.

Position Status               

The status of the position

Position Title

The title of the position applicable to the selected position control ID.

Position Description

The description of the position applicable to the selected position control ID.

Inactive

Indicates the active status of the position control ID details. “Yes” indicates the details are inactive and not available for use in other activities. “No” indicates that the details are active and available for use.

Effective From

The date from which the corresponding version of the record has been in effect.

Effective To

The date till which the corresponding version of the record has been in effect. The effective to value will be blank for the current version of the record.

Department

The unique code and name of the department for which the position control ID belongs.

Job

The unique code and name of the job for which the position control ID belongs.

Regulatory Region

The regulatory region applicable for the employment unit of the selected position control ID.

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the selected position control ID.

Work Location

The name of the place where the employment unit is located, for example, Los Angeles, Chicago etc.

Company

The name of the company corresponding to the values specified for the above details.

Business Unit

The business unit of the selected position control Id.

Reporting To Position

The unique code of the position to which the employee holding the position of the selected position control ID, must report to.

Regular/Temporary

Indicates if the position control ID pertains to a regular job or a temporary one.

FTE

The full time equivalent value

Full/Part Time

Indicates whether the job pertaining to the position control ID is a full time or part time job.

Grade Set

Jobs are classified into different grade sets for different purposes. A grade set is a means of classification by which different people in the company are grouped together, according to their responsibilities, perquisites, facilities, etc. Examples of grade sets are Trainees, Supervisors, Executives and Clerical Staff.

 

The need for multiple grade sets arises due to the following reasons:

 

An organization may choose to grant different privileges for employees based on the grade set to which they belong.

 

An organization may define the pay scale structure based on the grade set of the employee.

 

The hierarchy in an organization is easily understood when the employees are classified into different grade sets. Grade sets enable smooth and efficient structuring of the organization.

 

The system displays the specified grade set attributed to the position ID. Examples: Supervisors, Trainees.

Grade

Grade indicates the hierarchy within a grade set. The system displays the grade attributed to the position. Examples: Grade 1, Grade 2.       

Worker’s Compensation Code   

Worker’s Compensation Code indicates the compensation terms and conditions applicable in the event of an injury, permanent disability or death of an employee while in  service. The system displays the worker’s compensation code, associated to the position control ID being viewed. This indicates that the compensation terms and conditions corresponding to the specified code will be applicable to the employee holding the position.

Salaried/Hourly

Indicates whether the compensation for the position is through regular salary or computed on an hourly basis. The system displays the specified value, either “Salaried” or “Hourly”. “Salaried” indicates that the employee holding the position will be paid regular salary, “Hourly” indicates that the remuneration for the position being viewed would be calculated on the number of hours of work.

Standard Hours

The number of working hours that the work involves regularly. For example, the position might require the employee to work for 8 hours a day or 5 hours a day . The system displays the number of standard working hours per day, per week etc.

Work Experience

The number of years of experience required for the job.

Medical Check Required

Indicates  whether a medical check is required for the position.

Medical Check Requirements

Indicates the medical requirements that an employee holding the job must meet to qualify for the position.

Tipped

Indicates whether the position pertains to a tipped job.

Mobile

Indicates whether  the position involves traveling.

FLSA

Indicates if the job is exempt or otherwise

SIC Code

The SIC code.

Job Profile Details

The details pertaining to the job profile.
