Ensure that you are in the “ Create Position” page.
Select the help icon beside the “Job Code” field.
The “Help on Job” page appears.
The system displays the following fields at the top of the page.
Employment Unit |
The employment unit to which the job belongs. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
A blank multi line appears, containing the following fields: Job Code, Job Title, Job Description, Job Level Description, Job Family, , Grade Set, Grade and a “Select” check box.
To specify search criteria, enter the following fields in the “Help on Job ” page.
Job Code |
To view all the job codes containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these job codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: PRG1*, P*12, PR*1. |
Job Title |
To view all the job titles containing specific character, type in the starting character or characters of these job titles. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Examples: *PROGRAMMER, PRO*R, PRO*. |
Job Level Description |
From the drop - down list box, select the job level to which the job belongs. For Example, if you select Level 1 Managers, the system fetches the job records from the specified job level. |
Job Family |
From the drop - down list box, select the job family to which the job belongs. Job family represents a group of similar job, for example, managers or programmers |
Select the “Search” pushbutton to view the list of job records satisfying these search criteria.
Click on the “Select” checkbox corresponding to the required job details. After selecting the required job record from the multiline, select the “OK” pushbutton.
The “Create Position” page reappears.
The selected job code is displayed in the “Job Code” field.
