Select the “Record Job Competency ” link in the “Create Job” page.
The “Record Job Competency” page appears.
The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Unit Structure Setup |
The organization unit in which the unit structure component is deployed for processing unit structure activities for the employment units interacting with it. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
Job Code |
The unique code of the job to which you want to map the required competencies. |
Job Title |
The title of the job for which you are mapping the required competencies. |
Job Description |
The unique description of the job to which you want to map the required competencies. |
The system displays in the “Employment Units Applicable to the Job” multiline the following details of the employment units applicable to the job.
Select |
Select the check box corresponding to the employment unit, to which you want to apply the job-competency mappings you specify. |
Employment Unit Code |
The unique code of the employment unit. |
Employment Unit Description |
The unique description of the employment unit. |
Select the employment unit to which the job competencies should be applicable to by clicking the “Select” check box corresponding the required employment unit.
Select the “Get Competencies” pushbutton beside.
The system lists in the “Applicable Competencies” multiline the organizational level competencies mapped to the selected employment unit.
You can edit, delete or specify new competencies to the selected employment unit – job combination.
The system displays the following details in the “Applicable Competencies” multiline.
Competency Code |
The unique code of the organization level competency inherited by the job. You can also specify the code of a new competency you want to map to the job. |
Competency Description |
The unique description of the corresponding competency. |
Competency MDL |
The minimum desired level(MDL) of a competency indicates the minimum extent to which the competency must be present in an employee. For example, if the MDL for the competency “Communication Skills” is 3 or 4, it indicates the minimum extent to which the competency must be present in the employee. In this example, the maximum value of the competency is set as 5, in the system parameters. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details.
