4 Select the “Edit External Venue” option from the left pane.
4 The “Select Venue for Editing” page appears.

Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Training General Information Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must create training general information groups. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to create training general information groups. These organization units are called setup OUs. A setup organization unit is an organization unit in which you normally define master information. There are other organization units that can access information from this setup organization unit. |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the external venue record |
4 Select the venue, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the venue
4 Enter the venue code that you need to modify or delete, in the “Venue Code” field.
4 Select the “Edit External Venue” link.
4 The “Edit External Venue” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
4 To edit the external venue, refer to the topic “Editing External Venue”.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the venue code or the name of the venue.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Venue Code |
To view the venue codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the venue codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, EXVEN1*, will search for those venue codes that start with EXVEN1. Other examples are *EXVEN-1, and EV*1. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, EXVEN1*, will search for those venue codes that start with EXVEN1. Other examples are *EXVEN-1, and EV*1. |
Venue Name |
The name of the venue. To view the venue names containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the venue names. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, EXVEN1*, will search for those venue names that start with EXVEN1. Other examples are *EXVEN-1, and EV*1. |
City |
The name of the city in which the venue is located.. To view the city names containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the city names. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, NEW*, will search for those venue names that start with NEW. |
4 Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
4 The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the venue records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Venue Code |
The unique code that identifies the venue. |
Venue Name |
The name of the venue. |
Organization |
The name of the organization. |
4 To select the venue record that you want to edit, select the checkbox beside the venue record . Select the “Edit External Venue” hyperlink.
4 The “Edit External Venue” page appears.
Use this page to select the external venue whose details you want to edit.
