Select the “Edit Course” link in the “Select Course to Editing” page.

The “Edit Course” page appears.

The following fields are displayed, which cannot be edited.

Date Format

The date format applicable to the login user.

More Details

Training General Information Unit

The training general information unit selected in the previous page.

Language

The language you selected in the previous page is displayed.  From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to retrieve the record in the selected language.

Course Code

The code that identifies the course.

You can edit the following fields:

Course Short Description

A brief and unique description of the course code.  This is mandatory.

Course Long Description

A detailed description of the course code.

Objectives Of Course

The objectives of course are specified. It has been provided with an  icon.  On selecting the icon, a dialog box appears in which  you can edit the objectives of the course and select the “ok” pushbutton to save the details.

Course Type

The type of the course.  You can select the required value from the drop-down list box.

Course Category

From the drop-down list box, select the category of the course, such as core, functional, etc.

Inactive

Select this checkbox, if you want this course to be currently inactive.

Course Duration

The total duration of the course.  The duration of the course must be mentioned in hours. 

Maximum Trainees

The maximum number of trainees for a batch.  For example, a training program can accommodate 20 trainees in a particular batch.

Minimum Trainees

The minimum of trainees required for commencing any training program.  For example, a training program can accommodate 20 trainees, but it needs a minimum of 10 trainees to start the training program.            

Training Information Links

The links that are provided to the trainees to view the training information  and the materials  required for the training.

Other Training Material

The training materials available to the trainees apart from the training information links. It has been provided with an  icon.  On selecting the icon, a dialog box appears.  You can edi the details about the available training materials .  After entering the details, select the “Ok” pushbutton to save the details.

Course Fee

The numeric value of the course fee.

From the drop-down list box beside, select the currency for the course fee entered.  By default, “Singapore Dollar” is displayed in this field.

Training Area

From the drop-down list box, select the training area of the course.  For example, Trade and Craft Skills, Computer Related Skills.

Internal Classification

From the drop-down list box, select the internal classification of the course.  For example, Induction, Career Development.

Sponsorship Mandatory

Select this checkbox, if the sponsorship for this course is mandatory.

Participants Profile

The profile of the participant for the specific course.

For example, a participant is expected to know the basics of computers for a training programme in advanced computer course.  In this instance, you can enter “Computer Basics” in this field.

Retraining Duration

The period/duration after which the training for the specific course is repetitively conducted. Select the unit for the period from the adjacent drop-down list box. Example, the training for the course may be conducted every 6 months. Enter "6" and select  "months" in the adjacent field.

Attach Course Content 1

Click the icon to browse and select the file you want to edit the course related details.

Click the icon to browse and select the file you want to edit the course related details.

Comments

Any comments pertaining to the course.

 

To enter comments

Select the icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.

You can view, modify or delete the content.

Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.

Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.     

To modify the details specified in the “Qualification imparted” group box.

You can edit the following in the “Qualification Imparted” group box.

Qualification Code

The unique code of the qualification. Help feature available.

The following details pertaining to the specified “Qualification code” are displayed in the “Qualification Imparted” group box.

Qualification Type

The type of the qualification. It displays either of the following values: ”Professional” or “Technical”.

Qualification Description

The description of the qualification. 

Qualification Level

The level of the qualification.  It displays any one of these values: “Undergraduate”, “Postgraduate”, “Diploma”, “Certification” and “License”.

Specialization

The area of specialization. 

To modify the competency details in the “Competency acquired” multiline.

Edit the following in the “Competencies Acquired” multiline.

Competency Code

The unique code of the competency. Help feature available.

Impact Level

The impact level of the competencies is defined in this field.  It takes only numeric values.

On selecting the “Competency code”, the following detail is displayed in the multiline.

Competency Description

The description of the competency.

 

To modify  the prerequisites details in the “Prerequisites” multiline.

You can edit the following details in the “Prerequisites” multiline.

Course Code

The unique code of the course. Help feature available.

Course Mandatory

Select “yes” or “No” from this drop-down list box to specify whether the course is mandatory or not.    Select “Yes” if the course is mandatory, else select “No”. By default, the value already selected is displayed.

 

On selecting the “Save” pushbutton, the following details are displayed in the multiline,

Course Short Description

A brief description of the course.

Course Long Description

A detailed description of the course.

 

You can edit the comments pertaining to the course details.

Comments

Any comments pertaining to the course.

 

 

To edit comments

Select the book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.

You can view, modify or delete the content.

Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.

Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.

Save in Language

The language you selected in the previous page is displayed.  From the “Language” drop-down list box, you can select any other language, to translate the record to this language.

 

To delete the course

Select the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the course record.

To save course details

Select the “Save” pushbutton.
