4 Select the Create External Venue option from the left pane.
4 The Create External Venue page appears.
4 The system displays the following.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
4 To create a external venue, specify the following:
Training General Information Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must create training general information groups. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to create training general information groups. These organization units are called setup OUs. A setup organization unit is an organization unit in which you normally define master information. There are other organization units that can access information from this setup organization unit. |
Venue Code |
A unique code to define the venue. |
Venue Name |
The name of the venue. |
4 If you want a particular venue to be inactive, select the check box beside the Inactive field. Otherwise, you can leave the checkbox blank.
4 Specify the following:
Default with Venue |
From the drop-down list box, select the required venue name. |
The system displays the details of the external venue which can be edited.
Organization |
The name of the organization. |
Address |
The address of the venue. |
Country |
The name of the country. By default, the drop-down list displays select. You have to select the required country name from the drop-down list box. |
State |
The name of the state. By default, the drop-down list box displays select. You have to select the required sate name from the drop-down list box. |
Postal Code |
The postal code of the state you selected in the drop-down list box. |
Phone 1 |
The phone number of the venue. |
Phone 2 |
The second phone number, if available. |
Fax |
The fax number of the venue. |
Mobile |
The mobile number of the venue. |
Home Page |
The home page address of the venue. |

The email address of the venue. |
Comments |
Any comment about the external venue. |
To edit comments
4 Select the book icon beside the Comments field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
4 You can view, modify or delete the content.
4 Select the OK pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
4 Select the Cancel pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
4 Enter the following in the Infrastructure details multiline.
Infrastructure |
The infrastructure that is available inthe venue . For example, computers, table and chairs. |
Available Units |
The number of units available for the training venue. |
Cost per Unit |
The cost of per unit of the infrastructure. |
Duration, if Hire Purchase |
If the infrastructure is being hired, then this field indicates the time period for which it is being hired. For example, a company may hire computers for a duration of 3 weeks to 3 months. |
Currency |
The currency in which the costs are mentioned . The currency is defined depending upon the location of the organization and geographical topography. |
4 The system displays following below the Infrastructure multiline.
Total Cost |
The total sum of all the costs obtained as the product of Available Units and Cost Per Unit, which is calculated automatically. |
4 Select the Save pushbutton to save the details entered.
