Select “View Organization Element” from the left pane.
The “Select Organization Element to View” page appears.
The following detail is displayed at the top right of the page:
Date Format |
The date format that the login user has already specified in the Enterprise Modeller component. |
To select an organization element, specify the following:
Hierarchies Unit |
The description of the Hierarchies Unit for which the organization hierarchy is defined. Select the required hierarchy unit from the drop-down list box. |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. In other words, this refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. |

From the drop-down list box, select the required language.

A blank multiline appears, containing the following fields: “Org Element Code”, “Org Element Description”, “Org Stratum Description” and “Inactive”.
Select the Organization Element record, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
Use this method if you know the complete code of the required organization element.
Enter the complete code of the Organization Element in the “Org Element Code” field.
Select the “View Organization Element” hyperlink beside.
The “View Organization Element” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To view an Organization Element, refer to the topic “Viewing a Organization Element”.
Use this method if you know just a few characters of the organization element code. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the organization element code contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. To narrow your search to the closest matching records, you can also enter search criteria for the “Org Element description” and “Org Stratum description” fields.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Org Element Code |
To view all the organization element codes containing specific characters, type in a starting range of these characters along with the wild card character *. For example, if you type in Org*, the system will display all the organization element records having the prefix “Org”. |
Org Element Description |
To view all organization element descriptions containing specific characters, type in a range of these characters along with the wild card character "*". Examples: *org, organization*. |
Org Stratum Description |
To view all organization stratum descriptions containing specific characters, type in a range of these characters along with the wild card character "*". Examples: *org, organization*. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system
will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group
box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the
records that are available for the selected organization structure unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the Organization Element records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Org Element Code |
A unique code of the organization element. |
Org Element Description |
A brief description of the organization element. |
Org Stratum Description |
A brief description of the organization stratum. |
Inactive |
The active or inactive status of the organization element. “Active” indicates that the organization element is available for use in other activities and “Inactive” indicates otherwise. |
Select the data hyperlink on the “Org Element description” of the required Organization Element record in the multiline.
The system displays the “View Organization Element Details” page, which you can use to view the details.
