To select through Search Criteria

Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the employee code. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.

To specify the search criteria, you can enter one or more characters that the employee code contains. Optionally, you can enter the employee name, employee type, assignment number, position title, department, job title and record status to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.

Employee Code

To view a particular employee code, type in the code of the employee.

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example:  ECC1*, will search for those employee codes that start with ECC1. Other examples are *ECC1 and EC*C1.

Employee Name

To view all the employee names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these employee names in any combination with wild cards. Example:  To get Jonathan, type in JO*, to search for those employee names that start with JO. Other examples are *NATHAN, JO*AN, and JONATH*.

Employee Type

Select the type of employee, whether regular, trainee or contractual, from the drop-down list box.

Assignment No

The assignment number of the appropriate assignment. A regular type employee has many secondary assignments but only one primary assignment. The primary assignment number is “1” and the secondary assignments have system generated assignment numbers. For a non-regular type employee, the concept of primary and secondary assignment does not exist.  A non-regular employee will have assignments with assignment numbers that are system generated, in sequential order.
