Bulk Resource Creation – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to define the role of resources. This is the primary activity in the deployment component to define all the resources. You can specify the various resource details as Resource ID, Resource Name, Resource Type and Remarks. The various resource type described in this activity are RM (Resource Manager) server, Application Server, Gateway, Client, File Server and Web Server. You can also modify and delete the existing resource details. When the resource type is set to “RM Server”, the DB Server connectivity credentials (User Name and Password) have to be specified.
Select the “Resource Details” link under the “Deployment Process” business component.
The “Bulk Resource Creation” page appears.

page of the respective field.
Enter the following details in the header:
Resource ID |
The unique identification name indicates the resource for defining to the particular user. |
Resource Name |
The name of the resource. |
Resource Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of resource. The combo is loaded with “App Server”, “Client”, “File Server”, “Gateway”, “RM Server” and “Web Server”. The system displays “App Server” by default on launch of the page. |
To fetch the resource id details
Click the “Fetch Resource ID Details” push button to fetch the resource id details.
The system fetches all resource details and displays in the multiline.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Resource ID |
The unique identification name indicates the resource. |
Resource Name |
The name of the resource. |
ResourceType |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of resource. The combo is loaded with “App Server”, “Client”, “File Server”, “Gateway”, “RM Server” and “Web Server”. The system displays “App Server” by default on launch of the page. |
Provider Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of provider for the resource. The combo is loaded “Oracle”, “SQL Server” and “None”. The displays “None” by default on launch of the page. |
Cluster |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the resource is provided with cluster or not. The combo is loaded with “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |
Note: The field “Cluster” is not in use.
User Name |
The unique name identifying the user. |
User Password |
The user password used to access the application. |
Remarks |
Any remarks pertaining to the creation of bulk resources. |
To save the resource details
Click the “Save Resource Details” pushbutton to save the resource details.
The system saves the resource details.
