Create Delivery Area – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create delivery area(s). A delivery area refers to the location where the goods are delivered. A delivery area can become a parent delivery area by assigning delivery areas within it. If the delivery area being defined acts as the highest delivery area, then the system updates the level as ‘1’ and for all the other delivery areas created under it, the system assigns the levels 2,3 and so on. The system decides the level to be assigned to the delivery areas, on confirmation of all the details in the activity. If more than one delivery area is created under level ‘1’, then for both the delivery areas the system would assign the level ‘2’ and the ones below level ‘2’ will be assigned the level ‘3‘ and so on.

The details of the parent delivery area and remarks are also recorded in this activity. The parent delivery area will be left blank for a delivery area in level ‘1’.

You can create multiple delivery areas and the status of a newly created delivery area is updated to “Active”. This activity also allows you to view the details of the parent delivery area. The login user ID and the system date are stored along with the creation details.
