Selecting visit package for recording preliminary inspection findings
This page, you can select the visit package for which the preliminary inspection details are to be recorded. Tell me more.
Select the “Record Preliminary Inspection Findings” link under the “Hangar Work Reporting” business component.
The “Select Visit package” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the visit package number for which the preliminary inspection findings must be recorded:
Visit Package # |
The number identifying the visit package for which the preliminary inspection details must be recorded (Alphanumeric, 18). The visit package number must have already been defined in the “Create Visit Package” activity of the “Visit Package” business component, and it should be in “Released” or “Partially Released” status. |
Select the “Record Preliminary Inspection Findings” link displayed alongside, to enter the preliminary inspection details.
To search for visit package
Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a visit package. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Visit Package # |
The visit package number for which the preliminary inspection details must be recorded (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the visit package numbers that are similar to the values entered here. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the visit package details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the visit packages that are created for the aircraft that are similar to the values entered here. |
Title |
The description of the visit package to be retrieved. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system retrieves all the visit packages whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Project Code |
The project code associated to the visit package (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages whose project codes are similar to the project code entered here. |
Visit Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the visit group to which the visit package is associated. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are that are associated to the visit group specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of the visit group. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Visit Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the visit package to be retrieved. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are in the category specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their category. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Visit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate the type of the visit package to be retrieved, which could be “Planned” or “Unplanned”. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are of the type specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their type. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Primary Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the primary work center of the visit package to be retrieved. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are associated to the primary work center selected here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of visit package irrespective of their primary work center. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages raised for the customer number entered here. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages raised for the customer name entered here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves the visit packages that are in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status, based on the filter criteria entered.
Note: The system retrieves the visit packages only for the aircraft for which the record status is not “Frozen”.

The date on which the visit package execution has to be started. |
Planned End Date |
The date on which the visit package execution has to be completed. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the visit package for which the preliminary inspection details must be recorded.

Selecting visit package for recording preliminary inspection findings – An overview
In this page, you can select the visit package for which the preliminary inspection details are to be recorded. If you know the visit package for which the preliminary inspection details are to be entered, you can directly specify it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the visit package number, aircraft registration number, description, project code, visit group, visit category, visit type or primary work center. Based on the search criteria entered, the visit package details are retrieved.
The details such as the visit package number, its description, aircraft for which the visit package is applicable and the primary work center or place where the visit package is to be performed, are displayed. The system also displays the group to which the visit package belongs, visit category, project code associated to the visit package, visit type, planned start date and end date for the visit package and the description of the primary work center.
