Basics of using an Enterprise One web page

Using online help

This page allows you to view the details of a requested part number in a specific warehouse. The page is launched with the details about the warehouse as selected in the previous page.

To search for details on specific part, you can carry out a search on the part based on the following fields: part number, part description, part type, part control type, stock status and condition.

The “Help On Warehouse # - Part” page appears.

Warehouse #

The code identifying the warehouse retrieved by the system.

Warehouse Category

The textual description of the warehouse

Description

The description of the warehouse selected.

Part #

The number identifying the part you wish to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Part Description

The description of the part you wish to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the part numbers that have part description similar to the value entered here.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the part you wish to retrieve. The part could be of type “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Service” , "Miscellaneous" or “Kit”.

By default, this field is set to the part type of the part specified in the main page. Here, main page refers to that page from which you invoked the Help on Warehouse # - Part” page by clicking on the icon.

Part Control Type

The type in which the part is controlled which could be “Serial #” or “lot #”.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part.

Condition

Use the drop-down list box to select the condition of the part. The condition of the part could be “New”, “Overhauled”, “Serviceable” or “Unserviceable”.

Display Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the display option. The system lists the following options:

  • Zone-Bin Level – Select this option to display the availability of the part at the zone – bin level of the warehouse.

  • Warehouse Level - Select this option to display availability of the part at the warehouse level, i.e., consolidated at the warehouse level.

The system displays “Zone-Bin Level” by default.

Ownership

Use the drop-down list box to select the ownership type. The system lists the following options:

  • Supplier – Select this option to indicate that the parts are owned by the supplier. Ownership # and Ownership Name will be considered as Supplier # and Supplier Name for searching, if this option is selected.

  • Owned – Select this option to indicate that the parts are owned internally.

  • Customer – Select this option to indicate that the parts are owned by the customer. Ownership # and Ownership Name will be considered as Customer # and Customer Name for searching, if this option is selected.

The system leaves the field blank by default

Enter the unique code identifying the supplier or customer (Alphanumeric, 45) in the input field located alongside. You can enter the trading partner code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the reference document numbers with the ownership code entered here.

By default, the ownership type and ownership code fields are set to the trading partner type and trading partner # of the part specified/selected in the main page. Here, main page refers to that page from which you invoked the Help on Warehouse # - Part” page by clicking on the icon.

The system displays the following in the “Stock information” multiline.

Part #

The number identifying the part selected.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Part Control Type

The type in which the part is controlled which could be “Part” or “Serial” or “Both”.

Quantity

Quantity of part available.

UOM

Unit of measurement in which the part is stocked in the warehouse.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part.

WH – Zone #

The number identifying the zone in which the part is stored in the warehouse.

Bin #

The number identifying the bin in which the part is stored in the zone.

Condition

The condition of the part which could be “New”, “Overhauled”, “Serviceable” or “Unserviceable”.
