Help on Serial # / Lot # Information
This page allows you to search for serial # and lot # of a part that you wish to process in documents.
On selecting a serial number or lot number, the split-up of the serial number and lot number for a part, is displayed. You are provided with the option of retrieving the serial numbers and lot numbers of parts available within the specified warehouse or across various warehouses.
Click
the icon positioned next to the “Serial #” or
“Lot #” field in the main screen.
The “Serial # / Lot # Information” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Storage Information” group box to retrieve parts from a warehouse:
Warehouse # |
The warehouse in which you wish to search and find the part # and serial #/lot #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves part #-serial #/lot # from warehouses with numbers similar to the number that you enter here. |
WH-Zone # |
The zone of the warehouse in which you wish to search and find the part # and serial #/lot #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves part #-serial #/lot # from zones with numbers similar to the number that you enter here. |
Bin # |
The bin in the zone of the warehouse in which you wish to search and find the part # and serial #/lot #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves part #-serial #/lot # from bins with numbers similar to the number that you enter here. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to retrieve part # - serial #/lot # that you wish to process:
Expiry Date Till? |
The cut-off date for expiry dates of parts that you wish to retrieve. The system retrieves those parts that are scheduled to expire on or before the date you specify here. Note: The “Expiry Date Till?” must be later than or the same as the current date. |
Shelf Life <= |
The number of days from now till which parts can be held in inventory and will remain useable. The system retrieves those parts, which remain valid in the coming number of days that you specify here. |
Display Option |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether you wish to search/ find the part in the above-mentioned warehouse or across various warehouses in the organization unit.

Trading Partner Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the ownership of the part #- serial #/lot #. The drop-down list box displays the following: Customer, Owned and Supplier. The search retrieves those parts owned by the entity that you have selected in the drop-down list box. |
Trading Partner # |
The customer or the supplier to whom the part belongs. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves those serial # / lot # owned by trading partners with numbers similar to the value entered here. |
Source Document # |
The document by which the Part # - Serial # / Lot # was inducted into stock (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves those parts associated with source documents with numbers similar to that you enter here. |
Parameter |
Use the drop-down list box to select the consumption and range parameter mapped to the part. The drop-down list box displays parameters associated with the part from the Aircraft business component. If no parameters is mapped to the part, this field “—Not Applicable—“ |
Parameter Value From |
The minimum parameter value in the range of parameter values of part #-serial # that you wish to retrieve. The system retrieves serial # with current parameter value in the range between values you specify in the Parameter Value From and Parameter Value To fields. |
Parameter Value To |
The maximum parameter value in the range of parameter values of parts that you wish to retrieve. The system retrieves serial # with current parameter value in the range between values you specify in Parameter Value From and Parameter Value To fields. |
Manufacturer Serial # |
The manufacturer serial # of the part # -serial #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all serial # with manufacturer serial # similar to the value entered here. |
Manufacturer Lot # |
The manufacturer lot # of the part # - lot #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all lot numbers similar to the value entered here. |
Serial/ Lot with Zero Quantity |
Check this box to retrieve all serial #/lot # for the part irrespective of their availability in the warehouse. This implies the search retrieve even those serial #/lot # from the warehouse that are currently not in stock. |
Show Allocation Rule complied stock only |
Check this box to retrieve all the serial/lot # that is complied with the Allocation Rules of the corresponding source document. |
Click the “Get Details” push button to retrieve the serial and lot number details of the part.
Note: The system retrieves the serial and lot number details of all those parts, which has the expiry date earlier, or same as the “Expiry Date Till?” and the whose shelf life is less than or equal to the “Shelf life” entered.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

The lot # of the part #. |
Manufacturer Lot # |
The manufacturer lot # of the part #. |
Part Serial # |
The serial # of the part #. |
Manufacturer Serial # |
The manufacturer serial #of the part #. |
Part # |
The part number of the serial #/lot #. |
Qty. |
The quantity of the part # serial #/lot # available in the warehouse. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the part # serial #/lot #. |
Condition |
The condition of the part# - serial #/lot #, which could be “New”, “Overhauled”, “Serviceable” or “Un Serviceable”. |
Warehouse # |
The warehouse in which the part #-serial #/lot # is available in stock. |
Zone # |
The zone in the warehouse in which the part #-serial #/lot # is available in stock. |
Bin # |
The bin of the zone in the warehouse in which the part #-serial #/lot # is available in stock. |
Trading Partner Type |
The type of the trading partner for the part serial#/lot#, such as Customer or Supplier. |
Trading Partner # |
The identification number of the trading partner for the part serial#/lot#. |
Trading Partner Name |
The name of the trading partner for the part serial#/lot#. |
Expiry Date |
The date of expiry of the part – Serial # / Lot # Combination. |
Source Document Type |
The type of the source document through which the Part – Serial # / Lot # combination was brought into stock |
Source Document # |
The number identifying the source document. |
Available? |
Indicates whether the serial # or the lot #of the part are available in the warehouse.. This field displays “No”, if the displayed Serial #/Lot # is not available in the warehouse #.The System displays “Yes” if the displayed Serial /Lot # is available in the Warehouse #. |
Allocation Rule Compliance? |
Indicates whether the serial/lot # is complied with the Allocation Rules of the corresponding source document. The system displays “Green Indicator” if the allocation rule complies and “Orange Indicator” if not complied. |
Check the box in the multiline to select the desired serial # /lot #.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
