This activity/page allows you to maintain the part certificates.

The “Maintain Part Certificates” page appears.

Note: Only login users with access rights can launch this page

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

 

  • Enter the following fields in the “Part Details” group box:

Part #

The number identifying the part for which you wish to maintain the certificates (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the part numbers similar to the value entered here.

The system ensures that the entered part number is valid as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Help facility available.

Serial #

Enter a valid serial number of the part, for which you wish to maintain the certificates (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the serial numbers similar to the value entered here.

This field is mandatory, if the Part Control Type of the part is set as “Serial Controlled” or “Serial and Lot Controlled”.

Help facility available.

Warehouse #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the warehouse where the part is stored. The system lists all the warehouses as defined in the “Storage Administration” business component.

Manufacturer Serial #

The valid serial number assigned to the part by the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 40).

Lot #

Enter a valid lot number of the part for which you wish to maintain the certificates (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the lot numbers similar to the value entered here.

Manufacturer Lot #

The valid lot number assigned to the part by the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 40).

Note: Ensure that a valid combination of Lot # and Manufacturer Lot # and Serial # and Manufacturer Serial # is entered.

The system considers the values in the Serial #, Manufacturer Serial #, Lot # and Manufacturer Lot # fields, only if the Part Control Type is “Serial and Lot Controlled”.

Certificate Status

Use the drop-down list box to indicate the status of the certificate for the part. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”.

By default, the system displays “Active”.

Part Description

 

The textual description of the part.

Ref. Document #

The reference document type and the number identifying the reference document. The document type and number will appear only if the page is launched from “Inspect Re-certify Parts” page

 

  • Click on the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the details on the certificates of the parts:

Note: The system ensures that the combination values in the Certificate Type, Certificate # and Certificate Date is unique.

You cannot delete the certificates that are already associated to the part.

Certificate Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of certificate received along with the part. The system lists all the certificate types defined for the part in the “Logistics Common Master” business component.

This field is mandatory if “Certificate #” is entered.

Certificate #

The unique number identifying the certificate of the part. This field is mandatory if “Certificate Type” is entered.

Certificate Date

The date on which the certificate for the part was issued. Mandatory.

The system ensures that this date is equal to or earlier than the current date.

Certificate Supplier #

The number identifying the certificate that is issued to the supplier.

Primary Certificate?

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the certificate is a primary certificate or not. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”.

Ensure that among all “Active” certificates only one certificate is set as “Yes” indicating it is a Primary Certificate and for all other certificates it is set “No”.

By default, the system displays “No”.

Certificate Status

Use the drop-down list box to indicate the status of the certificate for the part. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”.

By default, the system displays “Active”.

Remarks

Any additional comment pertaining to the certificates of the part.

Re-certification/ In-activation Comments

Any remarks pertaining to the parts re-certification or inactivation. This field is mandatory if the Certificate Status is set as “Inactive”.

Inspected By

The login ID of the user who inspected the part

Inspected Date

The date on which the part was inspected.

The system displays the following

Cert. Ref. Document Type

The type of the reference document, based on which the part certificates document is maintained.

Cert. Ref. Document #

The number identifying the reference document based on which the part certificates document is maintained.

Created By

The name of the user, who created the part certificates document.

Created Date

The date on which the part certificates document was created.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the part certificates document.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the part certificates document was last modified.

Note: Ensure that at least one row is entered in the multiline.
