Help on Rental Order
This page can be used to search for an existing rental order. You can carry out the search using rental order number, status, category, part number, serial number, component number and rental order date. The system retrieves all the rental orders, which are in the “Released”/”Shipped”/”Acknowledged”/”Partially Closed”/”Closed” status, based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected rental order number is transferred to the required page.
Select the lens icon positioned next to the “Rental Order #” field on the main page.
The “Help on Rental Order” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Setup” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box. Data entry is optional in the following fields:
Rental Order # |
The number that identifies the rental order (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the rental order number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all rental orders in which the numbers are similar to the number entered here. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the rental order status. The system lists the options "Released", "Shipped", "Acknowledged", "Partially Closed" and "Closed". The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Rental Order Date From |
The starting date, in the range of rental order dates during which the rental order was raised (Date format). The system retrieves all the rental orders created on or after the date specified here. The system displays the date that is one month earlier to the current system date, by default. |
Rental Order Date To |
The ending date, in the range of rental order dates during which the rental order was raised (Date format). The system retrieves all the rental orders created on or before the date specified here. The system displays the current system date by default. |
Note: Ensure that the dates entered in “Rental Order Date From” and “Rental Order Date To” fields are earlier than or equal to the current date. Also, the date entered in the “Rental Order Date From” field must be earlier than or equal to the date entered in the “Rental Order Date To” field.
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all rental orders with customer numbers similar to the number entered here. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all rental orders with customer names similar to the name entered here. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all rental orders with part number as entered here. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the part description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all rental orders with part description similar to the description entered here. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status. The system lists all the statuses as defined in the “Logistics Common Master” business component. The system retrieves all rental orders that are in the user status specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the rental order belongs. The system lists all the categories as defined in the “Logistics Common Master” business component. The system retrieves all rental orders belonging to the category specified here. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to view the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

The status of the rental order. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer for whom the rental order was raised. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
User Status |
The user-defined status of the rental order. |
Category |
The category to which the rental order belongs. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the rental order.
Click the “OK” pushbutton to return to the main page.
