This page allows you to retrieve the details of the alternate part numbers defined for the part. Details of the alternate part number such as interchangeable part number, part description, part type, order of preference, stock UOM, alternate type, alternate part-condition and remarks are displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Alternate Part #” field.
The “Help on Alternate Parts” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Part Information” group box:

Part # |
The part for which the alternate part details must be retrieved |

Part description |
The textual description of the part. |
|
Customer # |
The identification number of the customer. |
|
Customer Name |
The name / description of the customer. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Interchangeability Details” multiline:

Interchangeable Part # |
The number identifying the part, which can be fitted in place of the reference part number, if the reference part number is not available. |

Part Description |
A textual description of the interchangeable part. |
|
|
Part Type |
The type of the interchangeable part. |
|
|
Mfr. Part # |
The number identifying the part issued by the manufacturer. |
|
|
Mfr. # |
The code identifying the manufacturer |
|
|
Prime? |
Indicates whether the part is Prime part or not |
|
|
PMA? |
Stands for Part manufacturer approval. Indicates whether a part is PMA approved or not. |
|
|
Order of Preference |
The precedence accorded to the interchangeable part numbers. The reference part number will be alternated based on this precedence. |
|
|
Stock UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the interchangeable or alternate part is stocked in the warehouse. |
|
|
Alternate Type |
The alternate type of the part, which can be “Conditional Alternate” or Customer Specific. |
|
|
Alternate Part – Condition |
The circumstance under which the interchangeable part can be substituted for the part. |

|
Remarks |
Any comment regarding the interchangeable part. |

Note: Customer Specific Alternates with Alternate Type – “Customer Specific” would be displayed for the specific Customer # displayed in the Part Information Group Box.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the alternate part number.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
