The Delivery Date field displays:
The earliest due date for the part as specified in the purchase order, if the reference document is a purchase order and, if the process parameter “Delivery date to be displayed for parts under procurement” is set as "Due Date" in the Set Inventory Process Parameter activity.
The estimated arrival date specified for the part in the “Maintain Supplier Correspondence” activity, if the reference document is a purchase order and the process parameter “Delivery date to be displayed for parts under procurement” is set to “'Est. Arrival Date”. However, the system displays the earliest due date as the Delivery Date, if "Maintain Supplier Correspondence" is not available for the purchase order.
The expected delivery date for the part or its alternate part as specified in the advance shipping note, if the reference document is a purchase order/release slip and, if the process parameter “Delivery date to be displayed for parts under procurement” is set as "Exp Delivery Date" in the Set Inventory Process Parameter activity. However, if the expected delivery date for the part is not available, the system ascertains the estimated arrival date from the supplier correspondence and displays the same in the Delivery Date field. If "Maintain Supplier Correspondence" is not available for the purchase order, the earliest due date becomes the Delivery Date.
