Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

In this page, you can retrieve more information on the material request. You can carry out a search based on the number, priority, class category and type of the material request, the date on which the material request created, the warehouse number, the status, user status, reference document number, document type, aircraft registration number, model number and the work center number. The system displays the details of the selected material request, such as the material request number, the need date, the class, type, category and priority of the material request, the warehouse number, the status, the user status, reference document number, document type, aircraft registration number, model number, work center number and the remarks.

The “Help on Material Request” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed

This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Material Request #

The material request number for which you wish to retrieve the details (Alphanumeric, 18)

You can enter the number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the material request numbers that are similar to the values entered here.

MR Priority

Use the drop-down list to select the priority of the material request to be retrieved. The system displays the following options:

 
  • Normal – Select this option to retrieve the MR raised for parts that pertain to the usual requirement of an aircraft.

 
  • AOG – Select this option to retrieve the MR raised for the aircraft on ground.

Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the material request irrespective of their priority. The system sets the field as “Normal” by default.

MR Class

Use the drop-down list box to select the MR class. The system lists the options “Maintenance” and “General”. Leave the field blank to retrieve the material request irrespective of the MR class.

MR Class

Use the drop- down list box to select the MR class to be retrieved. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Maintenance – Select this option to retrieve the MR created for maintenance requirement.

 
  • General – Select this option to retrieve the MR created for a general kind of requirement.

Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the MR irrespective of the MR class. The system leaves the field blank by default.

MR Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the material request to be retrieved. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Planned – Select this option to retrieve the material request raised due to planned maintenance activities.

 
  • Unplanned – Select this option to retrieve the material request raised from the unplanned maintenance activities such as the line station.

Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the material request irrespective of their type. The system leaves the field blank by default.

From Date

The starting date in the range of dates from which the material request details must be retrieved (Date Format)

The system lists all the material requests that are raised later than this date. The date entered here must be in the format specified in the “Date Format” field and should be earlier than the date entered in the “To Date” field.

To Date

The ending date in the range of dates until which the material request details must be retrieved (Date Format)

The system lists all the material requests that are raised earlier than this date. The date entered must be in the same format as displayed in the “Date Format” field and must be lesser than or equal to the system date.

Warehouse #

Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse from where the parts can be collected. The system retrieves the material request associated with the warehouse. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the material request details irrespective of the warehouse. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the material request to be retrieved, which could be “Draft”, “Fresh”, “Authorized”, “Short Closed”, “Partially Issued”, “Cancelled” or “Closed”. The system retrieves all the material requests which are of the status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the material request irrespective of the status. The system leaves the field blank by default.

MR Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the material request to be retrieved. The system retrieves all the material requests which are of the category specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the material request irrespective of the category. The system leaves the field blank by default.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user- defined status of the material request to be retrieved. The system retrieves all the material requests, which are of the user status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the material request irrespective of the user status. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Ref .Doc #

The reference document number based on which the material request is prepared (Alphanumeric, 40) .You can enter the number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the material requests that refer to the reference document number entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the material request irrespective of the reference document number.

Ref.Doc Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the reference document type based on which the material request is prepared. The system displays the options “Component Work Order”, “Tech Log” and “Others”. Leave the field blank to retrieve the material requests irrespective of the reference document type.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number for which the parts are required (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the material requests that are raised for the aircraft registration number entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the material requests irrespective of the aircraft registration number.

Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model number for which the parts are required (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the material requests that are raised for the aircraft model number entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the material requests irrespective of the aircraft model number.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down box to select the work center in which the material request is raised. The system lists all the “Active” work centers as defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component and leaves the field blank by default.

Leave the field blank to retrieve the material requests irrespective of the work center.

Part #

The number identifying the part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the material requests that are raised for the part number entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the material requests irrespective of the part number.

Note: If the page is invoked from the “Request Material & Report Consumption” page of the “Flight Log” business component, the system retrieves all the material requests which have unpegged quantity and for which either the “Aircraft Registration #” is entered or the reference document type is “Technical Log”.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria specified:

Material Request #

The number identifying the material request.

 

  • Click the hyperlinked “Material Request #” to view the material request details.

Need Date

The date on which the parts will be consumed or needed.

MR Class

The class to which the MR belongs, which could be “Maintenance” or “General”.

MR Type

The type of the MR which could be “Planned” or “Unplanned”.

MR Category

The category to which the MR belongs.

MR Priority

The priority of the MR, which could be “Normal” or “AOG”.

Warehouse #

The warehouse from which the parts can be collected.

Status

The status of the material request, which could be “Draft”, “Fresh”, “Authorized”, “Short Closed”, “Partially Issued”, “Cancelled” or “Closed”.

User Status

The user-defined status of the material request.

Ref. Doc #

The number identifying the reference document associated with the material request.

Ref. Doc Type

The type of the reference document, which could be “Component Wok Order”, “Tech Log” or “Others”.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft for which the parts are required.

Aircraft Model #

The model number of the aircraft for which the parts are required.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center.

Remarks

General comments or remarks on creating or modifying the material request.
