This page allow to define the certificate types that are applicable to a part or a supplier. Tell me more

Certificate For

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the certificate is issued for the part or the supplier. Mandatory. The system lists the options, “Part” and “Supplier”. The system sets the field to “Part” by default. 

Certificate Type

The name of the certificate that is issued to the specified part or supplier (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. Ensure that the certificate type is unique for the specified part or supplier. 

Description

The textual description of the certificate (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. 

CoM Numbering Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the CoM numbering type to be used for generation of certificate # for a new certificate of maintenance document in the “Issue Certificates” activity of Shop Work Order. The drop-down list box displays the numbering types defined for the ‘Certificate of Maintenance' transaction in the Create Numbering Type activity under Document Numbering Class.

Note: You can select a numbering type only if “Certificate For” is ‘Part'.
