This page allow to define the certificate types that are applicable to a part or a supplier. Tell me more
Select the “Create Certificate Type” link under the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
The “Create Certificate Type” page appears.
Enter the following field:
Certificate For |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the certificate is issued for the part or the supplier. Mandatory. The system lists the options, “Part” and “Supplier”. The system sets the field to “Part” by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Quick Code Details” multiline:
Certificate Type |
The name of the certificate that is issued to the specified part or supplier (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. Ensure that the certificate type is unique for the specified part or supplier. |
Description |
The textual description of the certificate (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. |
CoM Numbering Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the CoM numbering type to be used for generation of certificate # for a new certificate of maintenance document in the “Issue Certificates” activity of Shop Work Order. The drop-down list box displays the numbering types defined for the ‘Certificate of Maintenance' transaction in the Create Numbering Type activity under Document Numbering Class. Note: You can select a numbering type only if “Certificate For” is ‘Part'. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the certificate type for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected certificate type.
Click the "Create Certificate Type" pushbutton, at the bottom of the page to create the certificate types.
Note: The system creates the certificate types, sets the status of the created certificate type as "Active" and the creation date to the current server date.

You can specify whether the certificate type created is applicable to the part supplied or the supplier.
Specify whether the certificate type is applicable for the part or the supplier, in the “Certificate For” drop-down list box.
Enter the certificate types in the “Certificate Type Details” multiline.
Click the “Create Certificate Type” pushbutton.
