Setting Options in Flight Log – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to set default options for the various fields in the activities of the “Flight Log” business component. You can set the following options in this activity:
specify the part to be used when loading the unit of measurement for fuel, hydraulic oil, engine oil and APU oil.
specify the time zone for UTC time. This time zone will be defaulted in the Engine Shut down pages.
specify whether to consider the corresponding local time or the UTC time for capturing the date and time information for journey log and execution reference. The time information captured in the journey log and execution reference like departure date and time etc., will be considered to be in the corresponding local time or UTC. If you choose the local time, the system will retrieve the time zone of the ‘From Station’ or the originating station for the flight as the time zone for the departure date and time of the Journey Log.
select the method in which the engine flight hours must be calculated.
specify the method by which the employee time sheet must be updated.
specify whether log leaf number has to be validated or employee presence has to be validated as per the Attendance Record System (ARS).
specify whether the employee can report extra hours without authorization .
specify the basis of computing the overtime.
specify whether CoM is required.
specify whether reference date for compliance against flight operations and repair station.
You must enter a default value for all the settings, except the “Part # Used for Hydraulic Oil” setting. Once the options are set, they cannot be modified.
The system updates the details and sets the “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” fields to the name of the currently logged in user and current server date respectively.
