Viewing deferral log
In this page you can view maintenance report that are deferred for the technical log.
Select the “View Deferrals Log” link at the bottom of the “View Execution Ref #” page.
The “View Deferrals Log” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date and time fields are to be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Tech Log Details” group box:
Tech Log # |
The technical log number for which you need to view the deferral details. |
Sch. Dep Date & Time |
The scheduled start date and time of the journey. |
Outgoing Leg # |
The outgoing leg number of the aircraft for which the technical log has been created. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number to which the technical log is associated. |
Reporting Station |
The station where the technical log has been reported on the sheet. |
The system displays the following in the “Deferral Details” multiline:
Maint Report # |
The number identifying the maintenance report that is deferred or carried forward. |

Maint. Report Description |
The textual description of the maintenance report. |
Maint. Report Class |
The class to which the maintenance report belongs. |
Tracking Status |
The tracking status of the maintenance report. |
Deferral Type |
The deferral type of the discrepancy, which can be “MEL” or “CDL”. |
Deferral Item # |
The item number against which a discrepancy has been reported and deferred. |

Deferral Limit Type |
The deferral limit type of the discrepancy, which can be “Usage Limited”, “Time Limited”, “Usage and Time Limited” or “Indefinite”. |
Deferral Limit Basis |
The deferral limit basis of the discrepancy, which can be “Whichever is earlier” or “Whichever is later”. |
Limit Control |
The limit control of the discrepancy, which can be “Hard” or “Suggested”. |
Time Unit |
The time unit for the deferral, which can be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. |
Deferral Duration |
The maximum time limit upto which the discrepancy can be deferred. This limit is defined for the deferral category that is defined for the deferral item number. |
Deferral Value – FH |
The deferral value for the discrepancy in terms of flight hours. The discrepancy has to be processed before the aircraft completes the number of flight hours mentioned here. |
Deferral Value – FC |
The deferral value for the discrepancy in terms of flight cycles. The discrepancy has to be processed before the aircraft completes the flight cycles mentioned here. |
Deferral Value – BH |
The deferral value for the discrepancy in terms of block hours. The discrepancy has to be processed before the aircraft completes the block hours mentioned here. |
Deferral Value – LC |
The deferral value for the discrepancy in terms of landing cycles. This value has to be entered only if the “Deferral Limit Type” is set to “usage limited”. The discrepancy has to be processed before the aircraft completes the landing cycles mentioned here. |
Maintenance Event |
The maintenance event for the discrepancy. |
Reason for Deferral |
The reason why the discrepancy has been deferred. |
Priority Description |
The description of the priority given to the discrepancy or maintenance report. |
Deferral Comments |
Additional comments regarding the deferral. |
Deferral Authorization # |
The authorization number given for the deferral. |
Deferral Item Category |
The category to which the deferral item belongs. |

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the maintenance report for viewing the details.
