Using Online Help

You can view the details of the selected component replacement transaction. The component replacement transaction number, the component removal and installation details can be viewed in this page.

The “View Component Replacement” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following in the “Execution Ref Details” group box:

Execution Ref #

The execution reference number for which you need view the component replacement information.

 The system displays the package type before the execution reference number.

Status

The status of the execution reference.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number to which the execution reference is associated.

Log #

The number identifying the log , which contains the execution reference details.

The system displays the following in the “Replacement Details” multiline:

Object Type

The type of object being removed, which can be “Component”, “Other Parts” or “Miscellaneous”.

A/C Level #

The level code from which the part has to be removed.

A/C  Position #

The position code from which the part has to be removed.

Position Type

The type of the position code, which could be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”.

Attachment Status

The attachment status of the position code with respect to the part. The attachment status could be one of the following:

  • “Unknown” – Indicates that the part number and serial number of the part that is attached or removed with respect to the position code are not available.

  • “Error” – Indicates the attachment or removal of incorrect component with respect to the position code.

ATA #

The ATA chapter applicable to the component id.

Removed Part #

The number identifying the part to be removed.

Removed Serial #

The serial number of the part to be removed.

Removed Condition

The condition of the removed component, which could be “Serviceable” or “Unserviceable”.

  • Cannibalization – Indicates that the installed component is taken from some other aircraft.

  • Loans – Indicates that the installed component is taken on loan from other operators.

  • Pooling – Indicates that the installed component is taken from the common repository.

Confirmed Failure?

Indicates whether the removed part is of confirmed failure or not.

Installed Part #

The part number to be installed in place of the part specified in the “Removed Part #” field.

Installed Serial #

The serial number of the installed part.

Source

The replacement type of the installed component. The system displays one of the following:

  • Replace  – Indicates that the installed component replaces the removed component in the aircraft.

  • Cannibalize – Indicates that the  installed component is taken from ex-aircraft to replace the removed component.

  • Attach – Indicates that the installed component is attached to the aircraft in an empty position.

  • Remove – Indicates that a component already attached to the aircraft is just removed.

  • Swap – Indicates that the removed component and the installed component are swapped between the current aircraft and the ex-aircraft.  

Record Mode

The mode in which the component replacement is recorded. The record mode can be “New” or “With Error”.

Acceptance Ref.

The acceptance reference (which may be a document or a text), entered in the “Component Replacement” section of the “Aircraft Maintenance Execution” business component, while attaching a part to aircraft, is displayed here.

While attaching a part to an aircraft, the effectivity of the part is checked. If the “Effectivity Status” of the installed part is set as “Conditional Effective” in the “Maintain Part Effectivity” activity of the “Aircraft” business component, then acceptance reference is entered in the “Aircraft Maintenance Execution” business component.

Remarks

Any additional remarks about the replacement.

Reason #

The code identifying the reason for the component being replaced.

Component Replacement #

The unique number denoting the component replacement that is generated by the system.

Status

The status of the component replacement, which could be “Replaced” or “Removed”.

 

  • Select the hyperlinked “Component Replacement#” to view component replacement details for the  removed component.

Replaced By

The code identifying the employee who has carried out the removal.

Removal Date

The date on which the component is removed from the position code.

Removal Time

The time at which the component is removed from the position code.

Ex – Aircraft #

The aircraft registration number from which the component was taken for installation.

Ex – Ac Level #

The level code from which the part has been taken for installation

Ex – Ac Position #

The position code from which the part has been taken for installation.

Ex-Ac  Removal #

The component removal transaction number applicable for the ex-aircraft.

  • Select the hyperlinked “Ex-Ac Removal #” to view the component replacement details for the installed component, if the source is “Cannibalize” or “Swap”.

Serial # /Lot # Type

The serial / lot number type of the removed part, which could be “New” or “Existing”.

Removed MSN #

The manufacturer serial number of the removed part.

Employee Name

The name of the employee who has carried out the removal.

Removed Part Description

The textual description of the removed part.

Installed Part Description

The textual description of the installed part.

Seq #

The sequence in which the part was removed/replaced.

Task #

The number identifying the task.

Task Description

The description of the task.

Discrepancy #

The number identifying the discrepancy.

Discrepancy Description

The description of the discrepancy.
