Using this tab you can enter the amount of oil on arrival, oil at the time of departure and the uplifted oil for position codes of type “Engine” or “APU” and the oil uplift details for Other Positions.
Select the “Oil Uplift Details” tab to in the “Record Fuel / Oil Log” page.
Enter the following details in the “Oil UOM Details” group box:
Engine Oil UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement for the engine oil. Mandatory. The system lists the UOM set for the part in the “Part # Used for Engine Oil” field in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component. The system also lists all the other valid conversion UOM defined for the part in the “Maintain UOM Conversions” of the “Part Administration” business component. The system defaults the Stock UOM as defined in the “Part Administration” business component, for the part specified in the “Part # Used for Engine Oil” field in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component. |
APU Oil UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement for the APU oil. Mandatory. The system lists the UOM set for the part in the “Part # Used for APU Oil” field in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component. The system also lists all the other valid conversion UOM defined for the part in the “Maintain UOM Conversions” of the “Part Administration” business component. The system defaults the stock UOM as defined in the “Part Administration” business component, for the part specified in the “Part # Used for APU Oil” field in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component. |
The system displays the following details in the “Oil Uplift Details – Engine & APU” multiline.
Position Code |
The position code at which the part of type “Engine” or “APU” is attached in the aircraft. |
Position Type |
The type of the position code, which could be “Engine” or “APU”. |
Enter the following:
On Arrival Oil |
The amount of oil in the flight at the time of arrival (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here. |
Uplifted Oil |
The amount of oil uplifted in the flight before departure (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here. |
At Dep Oil |
The amount of oil at the time of departure (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here. The value entered here must be greater than or equal to the value entered in the “Uplifted Oil” field. |
Note: The system does not allow you to enter fractional values in the above mentioned fields, if the “Fractions Allowed?” field is set to “No” in the “Unit of Measurement” business component.
Note: The value entered in the “At Dep Oil” field must be the sum of the “On Arrival Oil” and the “Uplifted Oil”.
At Dep Oil = On Arrival Oil + Uplifted Oil
Note: The value entered in the “Uplifted Oil” field must be the difference between the “At Dep Oil” and the On Arrival Oil”
Uplifted Oil = At Dep Oil – On Arrival Oil
The system displays the following:
Part # |
The number identifying the part that is fitted to the position code. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the part fitted to the position code. |
Component # |
The component number corresponding to the position code at which the part is attached in the aircraft. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
The system displays the following field in the “Oil Uplift Details – Other Positions” multiline:
Item # |
The item number for which the oil uplift details are to be updated. |
Enter the following details:
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the oil (Alphanumeric, 10). The system defaults the UOM for the item number as defined in the “Maintain Flight Log Parameter Value” page of the “Aircraft” business component. Help facility available. |
On Arrival Oil |
The amount of oil in the flight at the time of arrival (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here. Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the “Mandatory?” field is set as “Yes” in the “Maintain Flight Log Parameter Value” page of the “Aircraft” business component. |
Uplifted Oil |
The amount of oil uplifted in the flight before departure (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here. The amount of oil uplifted before departure is calculated using the following formula: Uplifted Oil = At Dep Oil - On Arrival Oil |
At Dep Oil |
The amount of oil at the time of departure (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here. The value entered here must be greater than or equal to the value entered in the “Uplifted Oil” field. The amount of oil available in the aircraft at the time of departure is calculated using the following formula: At Dep Oil = On Arrival Oil + Uplifted Oil |
Note: The system does not allow you to enter fractional values in the above mentioned fields, if the “Fractions Allowed?” field is set to “No” in the “Unit of Measurement” business component.
Note: Any one of the following fields: “On Arrival Oil”, “Uplifted Oil” or “At Dep Oil” must be entered corresponding to the item number available in the mutiline.
Ensure that atleast one record is selected in the multiline, if the source document type is either “Hangar Work Order” or “Component Work Order”.
