Selecting journey log for modification
This page can be used to select an existing journey log for modification. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Journey Log” link under the “Flight Log” business component.
The “Select Journey Log” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact journey log number to be modified:
Journey Log # |
The number identifying the journey log to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Select the “Edit Journey Log” link displayed alongside to modify the journey log details.
To search for an existing journey log
Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an existing journey log. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Journey Log # |
The number identifying the journey log for which details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the journey log number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all journey logs in which the numbers are similar to the number entered here. |
Journey Log Category |
Use the drop-down list to select the journey log category. The system lists all the values defined for the quick code type “Journey Log Category” in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft for which the journey log details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft with registration numbers similar to the number entered here. |
Aircraft Model # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model for which the journey log must be updated. The system retrieves all aircraft belonging to the model specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of aircraft irrespective of the model. By default the system leaves the field blank. |
Flight # |
The flight number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the flight number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all journey logs recorded for flight numbers similar to the number entered here. |
Leg # |
The number identifying the leg of the flight (Alphanumeric, 6). Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive. You can enter the leg number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all journey logs with leg numbers similar to the number entered here. |
Starting Station |
The station at which the journey begins (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the station name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all journey logs with starting station similar to the name entered here. |
Flight Date |
The date at which the flight journey begins (Date Format). |
Log # |
The log number reference in the journey log. This number refers to the page number in the journey log. (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the log number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all journey logs with the matching log numbers. |
Flight Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the flight status of leg records of journey logs. The drop-down list box displays the following: On Schedule, Delayed, Canceled, Air Turned Back, Ground Turned Back, Diverted and Substituted. The system retrieves those journey logs with at least one leg record in the flight status that you have selected here. Alternately, select Blank to retrieve all journey logs regardless of the flight status of leg records. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves and displays the Journey Log records that are in “Fresh" Status and whose ‘Source’ is “Online” or “Offline”.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

The number identifying the journey log retrieved by the system. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the journey log must be updated. |
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model number for which the journey log must be updated. |
Flight Date |
The date at which the flight starts. |
Starting Station |
The station at which the journey starts. |
Log # |
The log number reference in the journey log. This number refers to the page number in the journey log. |
Journey Log Category |
The category of the journey log. |
App. History |
Click the icon to open the “App History” popup and view approval details of the journey log till date. |
Click the hyperlinked journey log number in the multiline, to edit the journey log details.

Selecting journey log for modification – An overview
You can select a journey log number to edit specific details. If you know the journey log number, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the journey log number, journey log category, aircraft registration number, aircraft model number, starting station and the flight date. Based on the filter criteria, details of the journey log, such as the journey log number, aircraft registration number, aircraft model number, flight date, starting station and the journey log category are displayed in the multiline.
