Modifying consolidated resource requirement for visit package

In this page, you can modify the resource details for the individual work units belonging to the visit package, or for the entire visit package. Tell me more

Select the “Edit Resource Requirements” link at the bottom of the “Update Consolidated Resource Requirements” page.

The “Edit Resource Requirements” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following in the “Visit Package Details” group box:

Visit Package #	The visit package for which the resource requirements must be modified.
Revision #	The latest revision number of the visit package. The system leaves the field blank if the visit package has not been revised.
Aircraft Reg #	The aircraft registration number for which the visit package is applicable.
Aircraft Model #	The model to which the aircraft belongs.

Enter the following field:

Resource #

Use the drop-down list box to select the resource for which the details are to be modified. The system lists all the resources displayed in the “Update Consolidated Resource Requirements” page.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the resource details.

The system displays the following on clicking the “Get Details” pushbutton:

Resource Description

The textual description of the resource.

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Resource Details” multiline on clicking the “Get Details” pushbutton:

Work Unit #	The task number for which the resource is required.
Work Unit Type	The type of the work unit, which could be “Task” .

Enter the following:

Time Unit	Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement for the resource time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”.
Est. Time	The number of hours, minutes or days for which the resource is required to complete the work unit (Decimal). Mandatory. The number entered in this field must be positive.
Est. Nos.	The number of resources required for completing the task (Integer). Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive.

The system displays the following fields:

Total Est. Time

The total number of hours, minutes or days for which the resource is required to complete the work unit.

Work Center #	The work center where the work unit has to be performed.
Work Center Description	The description of the work center.
Work Unit Desc	The description of the task .

Enter the following in the “Visit Level Resource Requirements” group box:

Est. Nos.

The total number of resources required for completing the visit package (Integer). Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive.

Est. Time

The number of hours, minutes or days for which the resource is required to complete the visit package (Integer). Mandatory. The number entered in this field must be positive.

Use the drop-down list box provided alongside, to specify the unit of measurement for the resource time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”.

The system displays the following:

Primary Work Center #	The primary work center where the visit package has to be performed.
Primary Work Center Desc	The description of the work center.

Click the “Edit Requirements” pushbutton to modify the resource details.

The system performs the following on updating the resource details:

Updates the resource requirement details and also the cost related information.
For a visit package of “Fresh” status, the system updates the resource requirement details.
For a visit package of the “Confirmed” status, the system updates the resource requirement and sets the visit package to “Fresh” status. The system also sets the “Approval Status” to “Pending Approval”, if the visit package approval status is “Approved” or “Returned”.
For a visit package of the “Released” or “Partly Released” status, the system updates the resource requirement, sets the visit package to “Fresh” status and increments the revision number by 1. The previous version is also retained with the respective revision number with the status set as “Revised”. If “Approval Required” option is set to “Yes” in “Set Options” activity, the system sets the approval status of the visit package to “Pending Approval”.

Modify the resource details for the individual work units or for the entire visit package

You can modify the estimated time and the number of resources required for executing the individual work units or at the visit package level.

Modify the “Est. Time” and “Est. Nos” fields for the work units in the “Resource Details” multiline.
Modify the “Est. Nos” and “Est. Time” fields for the visit package in the “Visit Level Resource Requirements” group box.
Click the “Edit Requirements” pushbutton.

The system updates the modified resource requirements for the work units and visit package.

Modifying consolidated resource requirement for visit package – An overview

In this page, you can modify the resource details for the individual work units belonging to the visit package, or for the entire visit package. You can specify the resource number and retrieve the work unit details for the selected resource. The details such as work unit number, work unit type, estimated duration for completing the work unit and the work center in which the resource is required, are displayed. You can modify the estimated duration and the number of resources required for the work unit.

You can also modify the resource details for the entire visit package. The system updates the resource requirement details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and current server date.
